On the outside, Mitsuhide's face doesn't flinch, but bears its usual cheeky grin, and possess the same snake-like eyes that can seemingly bore into you as he watches his lord Nobunaga throw his priceless dinnerware into the garden pond. But on the inside is placet horror he'd never in a million years let come to the surface.
The entire Azuchi castle is by now use to Ieyasu's attitude, including Nobunaga. However, to Mitsuhide's misfortune, it seemed Nobunaga was having a bad day, and with Ieyasu's comment on the, "food that tasted like the shit on his boot," he was grabbing all of the dinnerware and one by one chucking them in a pond. To everyone looking, it seemed moreover that Mitsuhide was amused with the fit his lord was pulling, but of course, little did any of them know just how furious he was and how his chest burned with rage.
"I hardly see why my priceless dinnerware had to pay the fatal price for someone's poor cooking, my lord," Mitsuhide says, squinting his eyes as he watches each dinnerware fall gracefully to the bottom of the pond.
Nobunaga snorts, chucking one last fork before turning back towards the door, Hideyoshi at his heels. "Ieyasu does not like the food," he growls, "So no one eats."
The man who is said to have the features and nature of a snake, proceeded to stare into the pond where ripples still formed and yet he could see his reflection superlatively on the water's surface staring back at him. He carefully kneeled down and reached into the pond, not bothering to pull back his sleeves, and he collected a fallen spoon with his nimble fingers. He brought it from the water, and delighted in the spoon. But a scowl crossed his face when he noticed the once perfect silver with perfect shape now had a dent from it's hard hit to the ground.
He snarled, and tossed the utensil back into the pond before making way to the dining room again. Nobunaga sat at the head with just as much a glower from earlier, though he was having his shoulders rubbed. Mitsuhide bowed to his lord before sitting back at the table, waiting for new food to be served once again, this time by Masamune.
As he sat at the table and watched Nobunaga glare at his plate, he thought to himself, "Who might the real enemy be. The cook?" And he looks towards kitchen.
Then, he looks towards Ieyasu who plays begrudgingly with the new food in front of him. "The churlish warlord," and then he looks to Nobunaga, and grins. "Or the bastard who would so quickly hurt innocent priceless dinnerware."
