Oda Forces:

Nobunaga Oda

On the battlefield couldn't have been a worse time for you to have an attack, and yet, there you were on the back of Nobunaga's horse, clutching onto him as you cried into his back, praying to the gods above that it would all be over soon.
It was hard to keep your breathing steady, and it was hard to hold on to the feeling in your hands as you felt the familiar numbness from an attack summiting.
This wasn't the first time Nobunaga has brought you into battle. In fact, it has to be the 5th or 6th time. But what makes this so different is the brutality is at a much different rate then the previous ones, and bodies after bodies, more than you've ever seen before, are so easily and quickly falling to the ground, lifeless.
Nobunaga could not hear you crying, or having your attack, and even if he did, it wasn't like he could do anything since he was in the midst of battle, and one that was not on his side at the moment.
The battle drew out for hours, until finally, the Oda Clan came through with a slim victory. As the horse came to a stop in the center of the bloody mass, it was then that Nobunaga could finally hear your cries and feel you shaking against him.
He just about panics himself, and it's amazing how he is able to sling you from behind and to the front.
He is certain you are hurt, and is cursing himself for bringing you along, since a part of him new a win in this battle was very, very slim.
He takes a deep breath after inspecting you and seeing there are no injuries, but that doesn't take away from the fact you are still crying and shaking against him.
"Hush now," he says in a gentle tone, one hand cupping the back of your neck, the other holding your cheek.
With the pad of his thumb he gently scoops up the tears that slip from your eyes. "Calm yourself. It's all over now," he says softly. He rests his forehead against yours, and runs his hand up and down your quivering back.
Slowly, but surely, you find yourself relaxing once again, though your throat is sore and head pounding. "I'm sorry," you say just above a whisper, but Nobunaga won't have it.
"Don't be ridiculous. There is no such need for you to be apologizing, when it is I who has made the mistake countless times bringing you out here. For now, rest," he concludes, "For the next couple days there will not be time for rest as I make it up to you." With an arm still around you, he heeds the horse forward in the direction of the camps.

Hideyoshi Toyotomi

At the sight of you quivering and shaking like a frightened kitten in the midst of your attack, Hideyoshi's "Mama-Bear" mode is on, even if he is your lover.
The battle was treacherous, and drew out for months, until by the end of it everyone was about ready to collapse.
The final hours were the worst as the Oda forces struggled against the enemy, and you, back at the camps taking care of the wounded, felt helpless. The moment a wounded soldier was bandaged they were whisked right back into battle, it was that bad for the Oda forces.
You tried your hardest not to let yourself break in front of the soldiers, wanting to keep a brave face for them,
But the more you listened to the canons in the distance, the agonizing screams, and thought of your lover out there in battle leading his troops, it became harder to do so.
At a pins drop, everything went silent; the smoke in the clouds started to disperse and birds were chirping once again. But back at the camps, you had no idea who had the victory, and waiting to see was harrowing.
Though you were beyond thrilled to see Hideyoshi trotting on his horse back into camp, you couldn't hold in your sobs and panic any longer, and you allowed yourself to fall to your knees and sob into your hands.
No one had ever seen Hideyoshi run so fast or jump so high off his horse. He was at your side in a second, sliding on his knees through the dirt to get to you.
"MC?! What's wrong? Are you injured? Ieyasu, get over here now!"
You clutched onto him, burying your face in his chest as your body wracked with sobs. "I-I thought... I was so scared, I thought s-something would have happened to you..."
Hideyoshi took a deep breath, wrapping his arms tightly around you. He cupped the back of your head and rocked you back and forth ever so slightly as he started to whisper words of comfort to you.
"Oh, sweetheart, you have no more to fear. The battle is over, and victory is in our hands.""I have the rest of the day to hold you and assure you no harm will come out way. I can promise you that."And he did just that. He lifted you up and carried you to a tent, where he held you, kissed you, and reassured you all night long.
