Your POV ................ Today was a beach day or at least, that's what my family calls it. Every Saturday, we go to the beach to let our worry's float away as my mother says it.
Life was good. The sand squishing underneath my feet. The water slowly rising up and then going down. The sun lowering down, making the day almost come to an end.
It was peaceful and it's the perfect time to explore. The ocean is just filled with many creatures and things that no one has yet discovered.
I swam out in the ocean, feeling the breeze fly mist into my face. The ocean was calm, level. The water always seemed to cause my worries to float away.
I listened out as I heard the waves clash because of my movement while going back to shore. But, at the corner of my eye, I see something I had never seen before on this rocky beach. It was a tiny cave.
My curiosity got the better of me while I slowly approached the entrance. It wasn't big, but I think it was just wide enough for me to fit through.
I crawled in the entry way as my eyes widened up. There was stones and shells everywhere around. Decorations made from the shells and seaweed was up on the wall and was hanging from the ceiling. Then, you could see a big hole in the middle filled with water that was connected to the ocean.
"Beautiful..."
I smiled.
"You really think so?"
In shock, I turned to the hole and saw a man. Well.... a man with gills and fins for ears. A-and a tail that was long and blue with a simmer.
As soon as I took in his features, I feel him tense up and slowly back away.
"U-uh, sorry! I didn't mean to be in here. I was just curious..."
He smirked as I kept rambling on about how I was sorry.
"It's fine beautiful! The names Lance!"
He stuck out his hand and I slowly shook it.
"Y-Y/n...."
