"I'll get you next time Ladybug and Chat Noir!" I snared as the metal swirled shut, engulfing my lair with darkness. "Everytime I'm about to win, they somehow turn and ruin my villain! It's... it's impossible! None of my victims are capable of capturing their miraculous'!"

   I shook my head, and sat down at a nearby chair. "There must be a way! I need to think outside the box."

   My thoughts were interupted by a call from Natalie. "Gabriel! Come quick! Adrien's not in his room! He could be in danger!'

   I stood, ready to untransform. "This is unacceptable. Adrien is never where he's supposed to be. I even hired people to watch him. If you want something done right, you have to do it yourself."

   I froze in mid-step, lost in thought. "Do it yourself... That's it! Why haven't I thought of this before?"

   I held out my hand, and a butterfly landed in my palm. I felt my lips spread into a smile. "Perfect. This time, Ladybug and Chat Noir, you won't win so easily!"

   With the turn of my hand, the butterfly transformed into a stunning shade of black. It's wings started to flutter, and soon it had taken flight. I leaned on my staff, watching as the window re-opened letting in the light.

   My butterfly flew into the daylight, it's wings catching light from the sun. Then, it turned around flew back. Right before it touched my staff, I felt myself change. Within a matter of secconds I was Gabriel, and face to face with my kwami, Nooroo.

   "I'm sorry Master, but I can't let you do that."

   I quickly snatched Nooroo, holding his body tight in between my hands. "I'm afraid you don't have a choice. I need to get those miraculous', and this might be the only way!"

   Nooroo shrunk down in fear. "But it's against the rules-"

   "Rules! Does it look like I care about rules? Now do what I say, or you'll regret it."

   Nooroo shook in fear. "Of course, Master! Just, think about what you're doing. Please, I beg of you."

   I stepped forward, and pulled away my tie. "Nooroo, dark wings rise!"

   I enjoyed the familiar feeling of transformation. It was powerful, and filled me with the confidence I need to get my miraculous'.

   Once back in formation, I found the akuma I'd created. I am thankful for Nooroo, but he's a fool if he thinks he can change my mind. Nothing can stop me, not even my own guilt.

   I felt energy rising within me even before the akuma landed on my staff. Soon I was covered in black, and I couldn't see. When my vision returned, I felt dizzy. Looking down, I could see my suit has changed to purple, and I could feel wings, like a real moth.

   I lifted my hand to my head, trying to calm the pounding pain. I quickly discovered how dificult it was to control yourself.I practiced walking around my lair, instructing myself on each task. Walk forward, turn around, extend arm. Just a minor setback. Regardless, now was my one true chance to finally get back what I most desire.

   I jumped out through my window, and onto the roof of my estate. I admired the wings I've given myself. Jet black, just like my akumas. I spread my wings, testing them out. Fully functional. I flew into the air, sending a chill down my spine. Now this I can ge used to.

   Some civilians saw me and shrieked in fear. Weaklings. It won't be long until their favorite heros meet their doom. I set my sights to the top of the Eiffel Tower. The perfect place to take victory.

   Seconds after I was perched at the top, a familiar yo-yo looped around a nearby beam. I smiled as Ladybug made her entrace, swinging her toy she called a weapon. Her face grew in shock as she saw me.

   "I don't understand. Hawk Moth, is that really you? No, you can't akumatize yourself, I know you can't." The fretful hero shook her head, not believing her eyes.

   "Oh, but I can Ladybug. You have no choice now but to give me your miraculous, or I'll take it myself!"

   Ladybug seemed to snap out of her trance, and swung her childish yo-yo. "Nice try. I've beat you before, and I'll beat you again!"

   Doesn't she know who she's taling to? I tried to contian my anger. "But you haven't beaten me, Ladybug! Only my amature villains! Don't think you can beat me so easily!"

   Ladybug cocked her head, and placed a spotted hand on her hip. "I don't know, Hawk Moth. You look the same as all your other 'amature villains'."

   I felt my anger growing, causing me to shake. She's wrong! I'm not the same as the others! And I'll prove it to her!

   I lunged forward with all my might, ready to give this so-called hero what she deserves. Except, I didn't move. Curses! I instructed myself to attack, but I was already too late. Ladybug tangled me with her infuriating yo-yo, and stole my staff. Within seconds, I was on the ground, my akumatized form leaving me.

~~~
I blinked, unsure of where I was. I noticed the dark fabric of my hands. I was in Hawk Moth's form. I stood, wondering how I'd made it the the Eiffel Tower. I heard a strange noise behind me, and whirled around to see Ladybug behind me. So she's the one to blame!
   "You! You brought me here! I demand to know what you're up to!"
   Ladybug giggled, and shot her yo-yo into the distance. "Sorry, but I've gotta bug out! Catch ya later!"
   Within seconds Ladybug was out of my sight. I rubbed my temple, and began the long walk home, still wondering what had happened.
