Materialism is a sin.
Foolish, the human race is but a puppet.
When you surrender total control of your soul,
Surrender to petty trinkets and fossils forgotten,
Urban clothing and designer area rugs,
Extravagant coffees and cheap booze,
Crazy concerts and status updates,
Fucking status updates and internet attention,
What are you then?
Who are you, Who are you,
When the only impulse you're capable of is checking your phone?
Nature denied again and again and again endlessly.
Materialism is a sin
And God is a drunken fool for still thinking
His people, his petty little pawns clever enough to realize
Realize that no human will ever see heaven.
