~ 4 and a half months later~
Ziva is 8 and a half months pregnant now and has went on maternity leave. Tony and McGhee are in ncis working on a cold case. Abby is in the lab with 7 month old Tali in her chair fast asleep. McGhee comes down with Gibbs and Tony. "Hey abs have you got anything for us." Gibbs said, he then looked at Tali and said "Can I pick her up." Abby smiled and said "you never need to ask Gibbs." Gibbs picked Tali up out of her chair while she was still asleep and put her in his arms and rocked her gently. Abby smiled and looked at her computer and said "I have been working on the small plastic bag that was near the body. There was a trace of cocaine within the bag, which tells us that our marine might have been a dealer." Gibbs is still rocking Tali and says "Ok abs. Dinozzo, McGhee let's go back to the ship and question the captain." Gibbs puts Tali back in her chair and leaves with McGhee and Tony following. Ziva is at home on the couch. She feels hungry so goes to the cupboard, it's empty. She sighs and picks up her phone and rings Tony. But it goes to voicemail so she leaves a message "Hey Tony just to let you know I'm going to Iceland to get a order in because we don't have any food and it doesn't help when there is a hormonal woman catering for 3 people with no food." She hangs up and picks up her keys and walks slowly to the Iceland. Abby is in her lab still working on the case while Tali sleeps. Abby is bored so picks up her phone and calls Ziva. Ziva answers "Hey abs." Abby smiles and says "hey Ziva how are you."
"I'm alright. Really hungry though."
Abby smiles and says "have something to eat then." Ziva laughs and says "I would but there is no food in ours so I'm in the Iceland getting a delivery." Abby stands still and says "wait, Tony hasn't been shopping." Ziva says "NO Gibbs has had him working on a cold case non stop." Abby smiles and says "yeah I know that feeling, McGhee's been the same. Are you alright though you don't need any help." Ziva smiles and says "NO I'm fine really, well I'll speak to you later abs. Bye." Ziva hangs up and starts shopping. Half an hour later she has got a trolly full of food. Then all of a sudden two men come into the shop with masks on their faces and guns. The taller of the two shouts "everyone get down on the floor, anyone moves a muscle and I'll shoot you dead." Ziva slowly sits on the floor patting her belly. She has to remain calm for her babies sakes. The two men are demanding for the tills to open and the safe in the back.
In ncis Tony is on his computer and turns his phone back on and sees the voicemail off Ziva. He listens to it. "Hey Tony just to let you know I'm going to Iceland to get an order in because we don't have any food and it doesn't help when there is a hormonal woman catering for 3 people with no food." Tony laughs and then says "shit I completely forgot to get a delivery in." Abby comes up and says "oh yeah Tony has that only just occurred to you." McGhee laughs. Tony dials ziva's number and rings her.
In Iceland Ziva is trying to get her phone out of her pocket in desperate need to call for back up. But she can't reach it. Tony finally gets through but not to ziva. To her voicemail. He looks confused and tries again but no luck. "Has anyone heard from ziva cause she isn't answering when I call." Abby, Gibbs and McGhee both shrug their shoulders.
6 hours later
There is police cars all outside the Iceland with the hostages still inside. The police are trying to negotiate with the two men but are getting no where.
Back in ncis the news has spread about the incident. It's all over the news. McGhee, Abby, Tony and Gibbs are all watching intently about what's happened. They see agent farnel at the scene. "This isn't just a case for the FBI, NCIS has been contacted as we speak as one of their agents is being held hostage."
"Do they know who the ncis agent is." The team all looked at each other and Abby screamed "OH DEAR GOD NO. PLEASE NO." McGhee, Tony and Gibbs all looked at her confused. Agent farnel finally said who the agent was.
"The ncis agent being held hostage is special agent Ziva David. She is heavily pregnant with twins." Tony froze. He slowly turned away from Abby and stared at the TV. "No it isn't. No it isn't her. There wrong. I'll call her again. She will be at home eating while watching the telly you wait and see." He gets out his phone and dials ziva's number. Ziva feels her back pocket vibrate and trays and trays and eventually reaches her phone she answers "hello." Tony puts her on speaker and smiles and says "hey Ziva. Your at home arnt you, watching the TV." Ziva laughs and says
"Oh how I wish I was. Sitting on this cold fucking floor is becoming very uncomftable and I'm starving." Tony freezes and says "you are being held hostage arnt you." Ziva laughs sarcastically and says "NO I'm just sitting on a cold floor for the sake of it."
"This is no time for cracking jokes Ziva."
"Well Tony try sitting on a cold floor for 7 hours with twins moving around inside you and two guys pointing a frigin gun here there and everywhere. Let's see if you can keep smiling." The team quickly drive to Iceland and talk with the FBI ziva's phone has died. Inside the store there is screaming. Tony is going out of his mind. McGhee is trying to calm him down. Farnel is on the phone to one of the masked men.
"Aim any weapon at us and we will start a Masacar."
"We just want to everyone to come out of there alive ok. We don't want any bloodshed."
"I see you all. Your standing there with weapons."
"Its just a precaution. We don't want to hurt you. We just want to talk."
"Really you want to talk. One of your men looks like he is about to go ape."
"He is just worried for his partner in there that's all."
"His partners in here. Oh really what's his name."
"His name is Tony. He just wants to see his partner. He wants to know is she is ok."
"What's her name."
"Ziva David." The man looks around and shouts
"Ziva David come out come out wherever you are."
Ziva doesn't know what to do. She freezes and continues to pat her stomach and replies "Yes."
The man looks around unable to see her "where are you."
"I'm by the frozen veg. Why."
"Oh I can see you. You partner looks like he is out for blood. Get up and come over here slowly."
Everything the man has said can be heard through the phone, Tony comes over and says "don't you dare touch her you son of a bitch. I mean it you touch her and I will kill you." The man laughs and looks over towards Ziva and says "stand up for fucks sake and come over here." Ziva laughs and says
"I would but I can't, I'm pregnant you see and can barely move." The man smirks and walks over to her and kneels by her and pats her belly. Ziva says "don't touch my belly." He laughs. All of a sudden a sharp pain goes up her back. She yells out in pain. The man looks a bit worried and says "I didn't hurt you you wuss." She says "It wasn't you. The babies. Somethings wrong with the babies." The man looks at her and at the babies. He grabs Ziva and picks her up off the floor and pushes her forward. He grabs her from behind and puts his arm around her neck and points the gun at her belly. Gibbs, farnel, McGhee and Tony are huddled together thinking what they should do. Farnel turns around and says "oh Christ." The others turn around and see Ziva in a headlock with a gun pointed at her unborn children. Tony screams " NO PLEASE, TAKE ME PLEASE TAKE ME." the man laughs. Ziva doesn't know what to do. She knows if she moves he will shoot. Another sharp pain goes up her spine. She is thinking why this is happening. Tony is angry and terrified of what might happen to ziva and his unborn children. McGhee is trying to calm Tony down but it isn't working. Ziva feels another sharp pain in her stomach. She shouts "I need to get to a hospital. Right now." The guy looks at her and says "your not going anywhere." Ziva is sweating and starts breathing slowly "i think there coming." Next minute something wet is dripping from her pants. Ziva's water has just broke.
