A girl was walking on the road. Devastated, broken shattered. Her eyes were all dull and blank. Eyes clouded like a dark stormy cloud that couldn't rain. She was walking on the road all alone stumbling, tripping and falling and getting up again. She was breathing but her soul left her body. The pain was shooting through her heart tearing. Her soul into pieces. A car was about to her that she was saved by someone. When she looked up she was shocked to see the person. It was Nikhil who saved her. And she stared at him. Seeing him there, saving her wasn't something she imagined. The guy who left the mandap hearing some false accusation on her is now standing there taking her in his arms protecting her from death.

"What are you doing here Nikhil?"

"What are you doing here Nikhil?" asked Annika in a feeble voice-only audible to Nikhil. "Why are you here with me? A characterless girl like me who betrayed you?" She asked. Her stare blank, devoid of any kind of emotion.

"I'm sorry Annika. I shouldn't have done it. I just heard him and believed in him. But Gouri made me realize how wrong I was. She said you had no such relations with him and it was all done by him. It was Shivaay Singh Oberoi that all this happened." He said trying to make her believe in him.

"But how does it matter to me now Nikhil?" Annika asked looking at him in a dejected way "What'll it change for me now?"

"Please Annika. Give me one chance. You know let's get married." Said Nikhil thinking that might please her but instead a hard slap landed on her face. She was burning with rage right now. What is marriage for these guys? Some game? That they can leave you to die in a moment and then can ask you to get married the next?

"What do you feel Nikhil? I'm a doll that is waiting for you to play with? Am I? No. I understand you'll say I ignored you for days that you got that idea. If that then what you want to say about the years about our friendship? The days when you took my money without any shame in spite of knowing how hard it was for me to earn some. Did you ever stood by me when I needed you or when I asked you to come with the alliance to my aunt? No. You didn't. Cause you were selfish. You thought about yourself, your job, your career but never mine. And after all this, you had the guts to think I'll flee with someone for money. If had to do that don't you think I could do that when you were roaming around like a vagabond? And now I'll do that when you got a job? Do you have a brain even?" She shouted on him making him ashamed and somewhat furious. After all he it was blow on her so-called male ego.

"You know what, I guess it was good that you didn't marry me. I had to bear so many insults but in the end, Mr. Oberoi helped me a lot. Otherwise, I would have married a spineless disgusting jerk who has no shame and who doesn't even trust me. It was the beginning and you did this. What would you have done to me after our marriage if someone accused me after our marriage Nikhil? You would have thrown me out just the way you did today. and I'm sorry I can do anything but stay with a man like you. So leave." Said Annika with fury and turning away. For Nikhil, more than realizing his mistakes he felt insulted and left the place right away.
