" Ravenclan, attack!" Ravenkit yowled and hurdled himself at his sister. Ravenkit felt satisfaction grow in his heart as he felt Darkkit collapse under his paws. She attempted to get free by wiggling but he kept his grip firm, he always won when they played invasion. But as Ravenkit wondered into his thoughts, Darkkit rolled over and made Ravenkit fall clumsily onto the ground.

" Not so powerful now are you Ravenstar?" Darkkit laughed. Ravenkit hissed and threw himself at his sister, but she stepped out of his blow which made him crash into a wall. It wasn't long before he felt Darkkit scramble onto his back, he growled as he felt her sit down on him as if he was a pile of moss.

" That's cheating!" Ravenkit squeaked as his sister put all her weight on him. This game is no fun when I'm not winning!  He hissed to himself. He knew that warriors would usually roll over to get their enemies off there back, but the way that Darkkit was sat on him made it impossible to do that.

" Give up Ravenstar! Moonclan has won, just accept it and I'll let you go!" Darkkit, or Darkstar if he referred to her play name, laughed. Never! I won't admit defeat!  Ravenkit summoned up all of his energy and thrust his back into Darkkit, she landed on the floor with a yelp of surprise.

" I hope you're not being to ruff on each other!" Nightpatch meowed as she entered the nursery. Ravenkit and Darkkit both shook their heads, even if it had hurt Ravenkit knew he or Darkkit wouldn't admit it. " Sharpfur is coming to visit later so I want you two to look perfect!" Nightpatch instructed and grabbed Ravenkit's scruff with her teeth. He didn't complain when his mother's gentle tongue lapped his fur. There was no point anyway, she would just continue like he hadn't said a thing.

He felt relieved when Nightpath let go of him, she then quickly grabbed Darkkit and began to groom her black fur. Ravenkit decided that he would be more helpful outside instead of just watching his sister. He breathed in the strong scent of Ravenclan as he walked out of the nursery. He spotted Scarfeather and Redeye sharing a crow by the fresh-kill pile, Hopeheart was entering the camp with a mouthful of herbs and entering the medicine cat den. Not far away from where Ravenkit was, Riverfall was sharing tounges with Hollyflower.

" I heard that Badgerclan no longer make kits apprentices! They must have been doing it for a while, Thistlestar hasn't mentioned any new apprentices for moons." Riverfall muttered. Ravenkit's eyes widened, wasn't that against the warrior code? He wasn't completely sure but he couldn't ask the two warriors or else they would know he had been eavesdropping. But he knew someone who would definitely know if it was in the warrior code. Without a second thought Ravenkit trotted to the elder's den. Inside of the den, Maplepool was grooming her tortoiseshell fur.

" Hello Maplepool!" Ravenkit greeted the elder. Maplepool's amber eyes shot over to Ravenkit and he felt suddenly a bit awkward, Maplepool had been the medicine cat before Hopeheart, should he have greeted her more respectfully?

" Hello Ravenkit, is the prey running well?" Maplepool meowed. Maplepool had been a great medicine cat from what he'd heard, apparently, she was the first medicine cat to discover how to cure Blackcough!

" It won't be running at all when I'm an apprentice!" Ravenkit smirked. Maplepool smiled and twitched her ear.

" So what brings you here? Do you want to hear a story?" Maplepool asked. Ravenkit shook his head and noticed a flea in Maplepools fur.

" I want to learn more about the warrior code, are leaders allowed to not make kits apprentices and just make them warriors?" Ravenkit asked, curiosity prickling at his dark fur. Maplepool narrowed her eyes as if he had asked a question with an obvious answer.

" That's not allowed at all, why in Starclan did you think they would be allowed?" Maplepool grunted. Ravenkit checked to see if anyone was listening, the last thing he liked was fake news spreading around the Clans like a fire.

" I heard Riverfall saying that apparently, Badgerclan is skipping kit's apprenticeships," Ravenkit confessed. Maplepool just snorted and rolled her eyes.

" Warriors these days! It's just a fake rumor Ravenkit, you should go now I think Nightpatch wants you." Maplepool meowed. Of course! Ravenkit had completely forgotten that his father was coming to visit. He dipped his head to Maplepool and sprang out of the den, he headed straight to the nursery and hoped he wasn't too late.

" There you are!" Nightpatch meowed as he arrived. Darkkit flicked her tail impatiently as she stared at the entrance of the camp. " Sharpfur will be here soon so no games that involve getting dirty!" Nightpatch ordered. Ravenkit and Darkkit both rolled there eyes, Nightpatch could be annoying sometimes.

" How about we find a present for Sharpfur? I'm going to catch a moth!" Darkkit challenged. Ravenkit nodded and leaped out of the den in search of a gift for their father. As his gaze traveled to the medicine cat den, he noticed Hopeheart carrying mouse bile and heading for the elder's den. Then Ravenkit had an idea. He could bring Sharpfur something from the medicine cat den! Without asking for permission, Ravenkit trotted into the den.

He screwed his face as lots of weird herby scents surrounded him. How does any cat remember what any of this does?  He questioned. There was no way he could ever remember that much, even if he had been doing something like that for moons! Ravenkit searched for something to give to his father. Most of the herbs just looked like boring leaves, he needed something special! But he also reminded himself that he needed to hurry, hopefully, Maplepool had a lot of ticks that would keep Hopeheart busy. His ears pricked as he saw some small black seeds on the ground. Sharpfur would like these, the color of them might remind him of us! Ravenkit picked up one of the small seeds but cursed as it fell into his mouth. Suddenly he felt tired and he couldn't help but collapse to the ground. He felt strangely calm and didn't fight back as his sight filled with darkness.
