Time: Present day
Place: Daily Interests Newspaper HQ in Blue Lake, New York
Characters:
Evan Robly:
-Male, 65
He's the old grouch of the old place. You can't help but feel unappreicated but he's the boss. He is the CEO of his magazine, Daily Interests. He reads through every article before it is published. He doesn't really like people in genreal. His nickname is, "The Old Grouch" on the fact that he is much older than anyone else in that place and he is quite grouchy. He doesn't talk about his past at all. Is there a secret that he doesn't want getting out? Has someone gotten too close to the secret? Is he Mr. Widower?
Rachel Goosh:
-Female, 26
She just started working for Evan last year. Rachel is Evan's personal assistant. She has a masters degree in managment. She needed a job and found a managment job for Mr. Robly. She had a good childhood being an only child. Her parents paid for all of her college. She seems like a good child. Why did she come to Blue Lake, New York? Is she trying to get away from such a happy life she had in Nebraska? Is she running from something?
Christopher Galando:
-Male, 21
He just started three weeks ago and hasn't gotten along well with his boss, Mr. Robly. He is a writer here. He is nickname, "The Rookie", because of his lack of experience. His articles are unapealing to Evan because they are educational and boring. The jokers really enjoy pranking him due to his gulible self. He has, however, been love struck by Rachel Goosh. Seems like he would do anything to get her. Maybe that is the reason for all these strange happenings.
Kiara Hester:
-Female, 22
Kiara has an unusual happiness about her. This happiness has earned her the nickname, "Polly Positive". However, she does know many powerful people in the magazine business. Her dad being the CEO of PC Life. Why would she go from PC Life magazine to the magazine nobody has heard of called Daily Interests? It makes no sense at all.
James Ratet:
-Male, 35
James is very serious; you rarely see him crack a smile. He does, however, have a sense of humor, but he very sarcastic and dry. Nobody knows what goes on in the head of his. He only talks when must. He does not take jokes well at all. The jokers try to play a joke on him. Is he trying to get revenge? On the inside of that serious face is there a plot of revenge?
Naomi Star:
-Female, 8
Naomi is Evan's long lost granddaughter who has mysteriously appeared out of nowhere. Evan never knew he had a daughter. One day just just mysteriously appeared, she said her Mom had to go somewhere, but she didn't tell Naomi where. She never sent a note just the girl with a small amount of clothes and money. Naomi is only eight, but you can never underestimate people, no matter how old, small, or even how dumb.
Harlis Brent:
-Male, 68
Harlis is the janitor of Daily Interests HQ, and a good friend of Evan. He works at night and sleeps during the day. He grew up with Evan; meeting him when Harlis was eight and Evan being five. They instantly became best friends. However they departed their own ways nobody except Harlis and Evan knows. Many times people have questioned Harlis about Evan's past but Harlis refuses to even say he knew the guy until he started working there. Did something happen in the past Harlis refuses to believe? Did Evan do something untalkable? Does Harlis want revenge on Evan?
Ned Jackson:
-Male, 22
Ned is a well known person in the building. When he enters you know it because the first thing he does is pull a prank. He is an actual, offical editor for the magazine. However now one ever really see him doing his job at work. And somehow he still keeps his job. He also seems to mysteriously disappear at times throughout the day. Ned is also the more popular one out of the pair of "Jokers" with his best friend, Tony. Are they behind all this madness? Is all of this just one big prank?
Tony Davidson:
-Male, 23
Tony, the second half of the Joker duo. Tony is also an editor, he is no as bad as Ned, but he doesn't try to stop the pranking. Tony besides the pranking is a very sensible man, however when he is with Ned Tony becomes less mature and more child-like. Every now and then Tony and Ned gets in an argument, normally about who is doing the pranks, this lasts for about a week. Then the prank resume to normal. Ned normally the boss of the pranking. What if Tony is the reason behide this all because of Ned?
Amy Cellar:
-Female, 42
Amy is a single mother of two daughters, Addie and Madison. Her husband, who has died three years ago. Amy is a writer, she mainly writes about parenting and families. She is also Abby in the "Dear Abby" column. She has gone through an awful lot in the past ten years. She is the sweetest person ever. She will do just about anything for you. However the government has cut down the monthly support they send her by a lot. Evan helps her out by raising her pay by 50 cents per hour. It is still tight, she works overtime almost every night. Is she trying to get enough money to support her family? Has she just been super nice to steal valuables?
