Soon the government would find her, and since she had the virus, they would perform experiments on her, and make sure no one ever saw her again.
She needed to escape the walls of Zemira, to run far beyond her boundaries, she had to leave her friends and family, forever. People would know if she came back.
Also, because of her newfound condition, she wouldn't be able to befriend anyone she met along the way, anyone she came in contact with, would die of the virus.
But Suri knew she would die before she found any survivors who left Zemira's gates.
The earth below was rigid, fragile from climate change. And the creature below it, what was called the Corr, was destroying the land like it was a toy, even that has its own reasons.
The Corr was angry at the people, all the new technology digging in hurt her, and she grew angry from every drill. Some people believe it was the Corr who created the virus, which was known as the Leven HYZ. There is still confusion on how she did it, but most believe she struck contagious toxins into leaves, which the primates ate, then the scientists tested the primates and the virus- which is airborne, spread to them. When the scientists went home, their whole house got infected, and from there, the Leven HYZ virus spread.
And here we resume to Suri's weak body, trying to withstand and hold up on jelly legs. She only had to make it out of Zemira's walls, then she would be safe, from the TESTERS.
The TESTERS or Testing Essence Soothing The-fears of-Everyone Ruling-the State, were the scientists who performed experiments on their own kind, there were Primate TESTERS, Invertebrate TESTERS, Aquatic TESTERS and many more.
She would be safe from the TESTERS, but not from the virus.
It would devour her someday, someday soon.
The virus would crave her to turn her whole body inside out, and slowly, that's what she would do, until her heart was thumping out to trees and her skin was irritated by her bones.
Before that, out of nerves, Suri would start gnawing at parts of her body like a savaged animal. It would start at her fingers, she would chew so hard it would bleed, her knuckles were the next victims. Soon, after more chewing leveling up her arms, she would start on her feet. Once again she would bite hard and savage like.
But before that her hands would start to turn blue. The blue would make her hands colder and she would constantly shiver.
Even before that, her tongue would start to itch, terribly. The taste buds on her tongue will fade away because she will have been scratching at her tongue violently with her teeth.
Her teeth would fang before that.
And her body would cramp up before that.
Each stage becoming more and more painful. Until the inside out effect took place, then she would die.
I have to survive this! She thought, but she knew it was impossible. No one known has ever survived the virus, she would either be a first, and suffer permanently, or join the others.
She kept running, terrified, hoping she would make it passed the walls...not knowing there'd be guards.
When she approached, she saw buff men in shining metal armor, green and blue, the top colors a guard could rank. The blue guard, the highest, ranked guard, stood, holding a boy by the collar of his shirt.
"Please," he struggled to get words out. "I...I-I-I-I was j-j-just..."
"Quiet, stutterer." The blue guard hissed. "I should contact the TESTERS, they'd be quite happy with a boy like you."
"P-p-p-please don't, they were re-re-re-really mean to me last time."
Last time.
"What do you think Capikan?" Zemira for captain. Suri recognized. "Should we,"
"Quiet Comridian." Commander. "It's not your job to decide choices."
"I apologize Capikan, I was just suggesting we put him down."
"Hm," the captain decided. "For once you may prove use to me." The boy's eyes widened in the blue guards grip. "How would you like that son, not being able to feel pain, being forever in a land of symphony and happiness."
"I-I-I wouldn't like it if my-my family was there," The boy spat.
"Oh, but they are. You see, some difficulty happened with your family and trying to pass the gates, they are now not to be seen again.
Suli didn't know what she was thinking when she spoke up. "Hey!" She yelled. "Stop tormenting him!" The blue and green guard snapped their gaze over to her.
"Oh, lookie here, now we have two kids, Ulrio, would you like to introduce yourself?"
"I'll never give away my identity." The boy promised.
Now that Suri was closer, she could see closer details of the boy, Ulrio. Sweat beaded down his forehead, lining his long black hair. His eyes were burnished golden, and amber flecked. His stuttering lips were held tight, and she could see a small scar dripping down the side of his chin.
"My death wish is that you let him go." Suri narrowed her eyes, her pale lips thin.
"What do you have, the virus?" The captain asked.
Suri smiled and nodded, using her fear as a way to captivate others. The guards scrambled away, afraid of catching the fatal virus. The boy was just sitting there, the blue guard had dropped him on the ground when he fled and and now he was just sitting there.
Suri tried to approach, but it felt like Ulrio could sense her getting closer. "Ge-ge-ge-get away from me, Sanka. The word meant sick human, it was often used as an offense but now the truth came out. "I-I-I-I don't want to die like you."
Everything was just a constant reminder to tell her: Oh, you're gonna die soon. But in truth, she hadn't even gotten to the second stage yet. It was said that once a human caught the virus, they would have seventy two hours to live. Suri would spend those seventy two hours on her own, walking through an exotic forest to get out of Zemira.
Now she wanted her life to be over quickly.
