"Who are you? What is your name?" Kaliver fired questions, not waiting for an answer before he shot more.

"Woah woah woah, slow down, give the girl some time." Lorcan grinned.

The girl had a jean vest, and a light blue shirt. The shirt symbolized ice, and matched her eyes. She had messy loose bangs and a short braid. The end of her hair met up with a black choker with spikes around it, which was tight fitted around her neck. She was holding a small bow and a quiver full with arrows was wrapped around her shoulder. Quickly, in the blink of an eye, she fired an arrow towards me.

Yelping, full of panic, I jumped towards Lorcan.

"Don't shoot." Kaliver commanded. "We come in peace, I'm sorry for yelling, we won't hurt you." Kaliver sighed. It seemed like he was in a trance on her appearance, did he like her?

The girl looked threateningly at Kaliver, who reached for her hand. "May we grant you safe passage to the coast?"

The girl looked at Kaliver, narrowing her eyes. "What might be your name?"

"I am Kaliver, this is Lorcan," He gestured to Lorcan. "And Elsie."

"Hm," The girls stayed a safe difference.

"And you are?" Lorcan asked, echoing the suspicious glance the girl had made.

"Salish Hunt."

"Well Salish, what are you doing here in the wilderness of the forest?" Lorcan asked dramatically.

Salish looked up at Lorcan disapprovingly. Although there difference in height, Salish didn't have to tilt her head to look in Lorcans eyes. "Salish Hunt." She scolded, kicking him hard in the groin.

Lorcan backed off, fanning his hands, wide eyed. "Yeesh. Fine then, Salish Hunt." Lorcan narrowed his eyes. "Why are you here...you're not associated with TESTERS are you?"

"Um no." She said harshly, salt rolling in her voice like that of a wave. "I hunt here. I live here."

"Ah sure, and-"

"Lorcan, let's just move on." Kaliver said, his voice hardened by a cough. He looked tired and out of it. Perhaps it was because he stayed up all night. "You don't want to be kicked again do you,"

"I can take you to safety." Salish Hunt said flatly. "You look like you may need it. Me and a few other rebels of TESTERS own a camp not far from here."

"Really?" I asked, hope in my eyes.

Before I could say anything else Kaliver threw a protective arm in front of me. Lorcan narrowed his eyes and crossed his arms, jealous of the gesture. "We're good, but thank you." He turned around to face me. "Elsie if something happens while you're with them, you can't complete your goal. You can't talk to the Corr if you're dead." Kaliver whispered fiercely.

"You're right, I can't talk to it if I'm out here eaten by wolves either." I shot back.

Kaliver sighed, admitting his defeat. "You win, but remember what I told you."

"We're in!" I exclaimed.

Salish Hunt smiled devilishly. "Perfect. Come on."

"Guy's I don't think you understand, this kid could be leading us to...Well, to anywhere for Corrs sake." Kaliver hissed as we followed Salish Hunt.

After walking for a while, we stumbled upon an open field large white tents. "You'll only be staying here for an hour." Salish Hunt informed, turning back to us.

We walked farther into the meadow and soon we were under the biggest tent. "Now," I heard someone call. The tent seemed to be crowded with rebels. "Let us begin."

"Mail." Salish Hunt explained. "It happens every day.

"Georgia Garcia." A girl wearing torn jean shorts and a yellow t-shirt ran up to the stage where the old man was. He was holding a letter and handed it to her. "Tyler Mansion." A boy with messy brown hair walked up to greet his mail. How interesting. I thought. I wonder where they get the letters from. The man, or as I was told, the Headmaster, called out a few more names before digging a letter out of the box and squinting. "This is a, quite unique one, I didn't know we had a name like that here." He shrugged.

"Estelle Forten, For-Forteen? Forten."

My heart pounded. How would a letter to me get here? I took a step closer to the stage, wearily. "ESTELLE FORTEN!" The Headmaster called again. Shaking, I walked up slowly to the stage. "Visiting?" He asked, eyes narrowed. I nodded slowly and took the letter, retreating back to where I stood.

Out of the corner of my eye I could see Lorcans jaw drop, but Kaliver didn't display any emotion. "What is your name?" Lorcan asked accusingly. The headmaster had continued to call names and I turned around to watch.

I leaned over at Lorcan, not looking at him. "Elsie."

"Then why did you go up there?" Lorcan hissed.

"I'll tell you later." I promised.

We were led to a 'Visitors' tent after the mail. My throat was dry as I tried to explain to Lorcan. I swallowed. "In the OutSrill, my family called me Estelle. Here I wanted to be called something different, go for a nickname. So...I chose Elsie." I said, smiling weakly.

Lorcan narrowed his eyes and looked into my scarlet, amber flecked ones. Like water like fire. "Alright fine." He retreated to his own room.

I opened the letter slowly...

cautiously...
