I was walking her home.
Our date last weekend had gone great and now I had insisted that I always take her home though she protested at first but finally gave in yesterday.
We’re not dating, just so we’re clear.
I looked at her in amusement, of course we aren’t. I winked at her.
She growled.
I laughed and after a while she laughed with me. I felt my heart jump at the sound. It was the first time I heard her laugh. I closed my eyes and took a deep breath.
What are you doing?
My eyes flew open and I smiled at her. I could see the curiosity in her bright, brown eyes. Remembering the moment, I explained, I close my eyes and take a deep breath, that’s what I do when I want to remember something.
She nodded in understanding, what were you trying to remember right now?
Your laugh. You in general.
