Parker?
Yes Ivy?
What would you like to do after we graduate?
I felt my eyes blink open at her question. We were at my room on my bed-we were just lying next to eachother! Really!-and I felt that we were miles away from the real world but Ivy’s question made me realize that we weren’t far enough.
Hey turd, I think I asked you something?
I laughed as I wrapped an arm around Ivy and made her lie on the crook of my arm. I think we really should work on your pet names for me.
Why? I like turd. She said as she let out a musical laugh.
I like it too, I laughed. but I was thinking of pet names like what other normal couples use.
In mild surprise I feel Ivy move. I look down and see that she’s looking at me with a peculiar expression on her face. But were not normal, she said, and we as sure as hell are not like other couples Parker.
I think back to the secret that I’m keeping from her and I realized just how true her words are. Yeah, I could feel my heart fill up with dread, we aren’t like other couples.
I felt Ivy poke my side and I see that there’s an impish grin on her face, yeah, her green eyes sparkled, ‘cause were better.
