I woke up with the world's worst history this morning. I had gotten home at 2am last night, taken an advil and fallen asleep in my clothes almost the second my eyes closed. This morning I had slept real late before waking up by a text from Stella.

"Hii, didn't find you last night, I'll buy you a coffee to make up for it?"

I smiled towards my phone, and began typing.

"Didn't find you either, obviously, for sure, meet me at the coffeeshop in 1.5 hours? 2 hours tops!"

My phone pinged soon again with her response.

"Sure, I'll text you when my bus leaves"

I quickly typed ok and that I would do the same before heading for a shower. I think that I actually might have sweated alcohol tonight, cause I smelled so bad, and I didn't feel any better either. Luckily I could cover my face in makeup, to save everyone from seeing how much of a mess I really was.

As soon as I was ready and had picked out a bus that would take me to the coffee shop we always go to, I headed out the door not bothering to say bye to anyone, I didn't even know if anyone was home, I just locked the outer door and walked to the bus stop. They came pretty frequently, so it wouldn't matter too much if i missed it, but I still made sure that I had gone out in time and had a couple of minutes to spare at the stop.

Stella was already standing outside the coffeeshop when I got there, I guess it was a good thing I had taken the bus I took, and not a later one.

"Hii" I squealed quite obnoxiously, I had one of those annoying high pitched voices, that I had never managed to maintain and know how control. It was weird how I missed her after literally just 24 hours away from her, I don't think I have ever missed anyone in this way.

"Hey, you ready to go in?"

"No, I wanna stand outside and freeze to death" I told her and rolled my eyes. I walked past her and into the coffee shop, holding the door open for her. "I'll get us a table while you order the drinks"

I took a booth further back in the little shop that we always met at, as Stella ordered our drinks. I didn't bother to tell her what I wanted, I always got the same and she knew it. A simple vanilla late with an extra shot of espresso in it.

I didn't have to wait long for her to show up with our hot drinks, and as she took a sip of her hot chocolate immediately, I had to wait for mine to cool down. I could probably drink it without burning my tongue but I preferred my coffee a couple degrees warmer than lukewarm.

"So where did you disappear to last night?" Stella asked me, pushing her dark curly hair past her shoulders. I almost envied her dark, full and luscious hair, but I knew she had struggled really hard for it to look this good, while I had just let my hair dry in a bun after having put saltwater spray and volume mousse in it, then letting my curls loose and feeling them tickle my shoulders.

"I don't know, when did you show up? Before or after Gavin had his fun?"

"I literally stepped through the door in the middle of the whole song. So I just stood there in the doorway until he had finished singing"

"Oh, well I spent hours in Dave's bedroom a-"

"YOU SPENT HOURS IN DAVES BEDROOM?!"

"No, hush, I was there JUST talking to a guy, we literally only talked, and cuddled a teeny tiny bit, but it was so little I don't even think it counts"

"Oh who was it? Do I know him? Was it one of those college guys?"

Oh no, oh no, had I missed the unannounced college boys. Talking to some junior who wasn't even that cool...
