The Fight

Cleo's POV

The pack and I are in position waiting for our que. Seth was already at Edward and Bella's camp. Jacob was doing one more perimeter run before he joined us. The fight will of already started by then. I'll be keeping close to the tree line so that if Seth needs me I can leave quickly. I am also to stop newborns from running away and kill them if they try. If I can't turn them back to the main fight.

'They're coming' Sam states and we get ready to strike. Alerting the Cullens that the newborns are near. Just then the newborns appear and charge the Cullens. As soon as they reached them we attacked. I kill two who tried to escape and now circle the fight. I watch pack members save the Cullens and even saw Emmet save Paul.

But I then notice a newborn female cowering in the tree line. I snarl as I approach her when she notices me she goes to run. But is blocked by Carlisle and Esme. They nod to me and I leave her to them. I saw them fighting, together they can deal with a lone newborn. I spot another female trying to sneak away and kill her. We can't let one of them escape or they could attack the town.

Just then Jacob arrived and he took out several newborns. I smirk that's my cousin. He and Sam tag team a newborn ripping it's arms off. I watch Jasper trying to protect Alice and she scolded him. Saying she could handle herself, before they returned to battle. Before I could continue patrol Seth sent me a message saying Victoria and Riley had found them.

'I will be there soon' I tell him.

'No, I can handle it. Stay with the others' he tells me.

'That is not the plan, do not take your eyes off of your opponent' I tell him. Before focusing back on the battle half the newborns have been killed. I continue to circle while keeping an eye on Seth. I watch Seth leap from the cliff above and land on Riley, taking a chunk out of Riley's hand. I smirk he's trained hard.

But then he got distracted when Edward tackles Victoria to the ground. Riley kicks him into a cliff knocking him out and I make a run for it. 'Save my brother Cleo' Leah tells me.

'He will no die on my watch' I assure her as I run through the forest. Toward the cold, towards the campsite. When I get there I remain hidden as Edward tries to take on Victoria and Riley alone. I find Seth and nudge him. He was still breathing and would be fine. So I focus on the battle waiting for the right moment to strike.

It came when Bella deliberately cut herself with a rock distracting the vampires.Edward seizes the moment drops to the ground while flipping Victoria over his head, across the clearing and into a tree. Breaking it into two. He spins on Riley who's still bedazzled by the blood and tears off of his arm. Making Riley screech in pain as I strike dragging him into the tries. While Edward tosses the arm aside and bolts back to Victoria.

Seth joins me and we rip Riley apart. We piled the pieces together and he looked away as I shifted. I lit to pieces on fire before turning back into a wolf. 'Thanks for saving me' he tells me.

'Anytime' I tell him as we head back to the keep.

'Guys the pixie haired Cullen had a vision, we need you here now' Sam orders.

'On our way' we tell him as we reach the camp. Edward looks directly at us and knows we have to go.

"Something's wrong?" Bella asks him.

"Alice needs us to go. And now" Edward tells her as he lights Victoria's corpse on fire. "I'll carry Bella" he tells us and we nod our heads. He picks Bella up bridal style and the three of us take off at a run. Back to the clearing where the Cullens are burning newborn bodies. Leah immediately greets Seth while Sam greets me.

We'd lose no one and no one was seriously injured. And we killed a bunch of vampires. A good day. 'That it is' Sam tells me. I watch Paul bow his head in thanks to Emmet.

'I think this is the dawn of a new beginning for our truce with the Cullens' I tell Sam and he nods his head. Just then another newborn appears from the treeline. Leah goes to kill him.

"Leah don't" Edward shouts. But it's to late. The lone male newborn maneuvers out of her way, spins and grabs her ruff, fiercely yanking her off her paws. Before could do anything else Jacob strikes. He leaps onto the newborn, tackling him to the ground. They roll farther into the clearing. Then Jacob bites off a piece of the newborn's face. But the newborn gets his arms around Jacob and crushes him. Jacob howls in agony.

The rest of the pack and I step in tearing the newborn away from Jacob. We ripe him apart then go change into human form putting clothes on. I grab a blanket and got to Jacob first covering his naked human form.
