Chapter Seven

"I saw that text you received. Who was it?" asked Angie

"It was Emily" I said.

"What!" She raised her voice " Why didn't you tell me, what did she want and what happened when you went out there?"

I thought about telling her what really happened but she was so furious and I didn't want to make things messier than they already were

"Nothing! Nothing happened Angie calm down" I told her "Relax"

"I can't calm down Pete! Then can you explain to me why she acted like that when she came back?"

That was another thing I could not explain without a lie.

How the hell do I explain that. I thought

"I promise I'll tell you everything tomorrow. Now you should go and rest" I told her

She gave me a suspicious look

"Okay" she said " Good night" and opened the door getting out of the car

"Wait!" I called

She stood there looking at me with her bright grey eyes.

"I love you" I told her

She looked at me then shut the door

"Goodnight Peter" she said then walked to her house and disappeared inside.

Is she mad at me ? I asked myself
Does she still love me
What I'm I gonna do now
How will I make her understand

Honestly I had a lot of questions going on inside my head. Right now I was too tired to keep my head kicking

Everything is going to be alright, i told myself .

The next thing I remember is my morning alarm. What could be more annoying?

That morning was not like every other morning. Today I am so worried not because I think that Angie's mad me but because I haven't gotten anything to say other than lies.

She can't know the truth, I told myself. She can't know that I kissed Emily.

I did not see her the whole day that Tuesday.

Luckily I saw Caroline

"Hello there" I started

"Hey Pete, how are you" she asked

"I'm not sure"

"Why? Is everything alright"

"Angie and I had a slight misunderstanding last night. You haven't happened to see her today , have you?"

"That's too bad. She was at the field wish Josh when I last saw her"

"Josh?" Sincerely I was a bit surprised "Since when are Angie and Josh hanging out"

"I have no idea" she said

"Alright. Thanks" I told her

"Anytime handsome" she smiled and walked away.

Seriously, this is not happening. I walked to the field to find Josh and Angie holding hands laughing and smiling at each other. I can't say I wasn't jealous but it put some doubts into my head.

I walked towards them. Angie saw me first, the expression on her face broke my heart. She stopped smiling looking at me with intense eyes.

"Hey Peter!" Josh started as soon as he saw me

"How are you doing Josh" I said "Hey" facing Angie

"Hey" she replied

"Angie and I were just talking about how you humiliated Collin" Josh said

"Oh really"

"Yeahp" he said "I see you later guys" he said and walked away

"Angie we need to talk"

"It's alright Pete I've heard enough"

"Then why didn't you talk to me"

"Because I was angry at you. In the matter of fact I am still mad at you"

"C'mon Angie"

"Did you seriously think I wouldn't find out that you and Emily kissed?"

Damn, she found out.
