For just one day, it had stopped raining.
Winds absent of any water, but the surrounding spectral flora and steel buildings bejewelled with the surviving dewdrops of the storm.
Sadly for Valentina, the absence of the rain falling onto the car and making that blissful sound meant that she was left in the awkward silence with Jimin and Jungkook.
"No offence, Val... but why exactly are you coming with us to Sara's?" he asked with a hint of uncertainty as he glanced over at her before returning his eyes to the road.
"Well, I don't have work today and I couldn't bear another day just doing nothing in the house. Besides, I want to see how Viola and Isabella are doing... I haven't got to see them in person since Sara was found." she replied, giving him a reassuring smile, melting away the ambiguity in his eyes.
Jimin had been observing from the back of the car, noticing how real her act was in front of Jungkook. If he hadn't had seen her in the Gem Mine that night and learnt about her secret, he would have believed the youthful and innocent smile painted on her face. Lies being served to Jungkook in deliciously wrapped poison, slowly killing him without his own knowledge. The fatal blow crashing his system into destruction when he finds the truth.
The man should have seen that the Valentina in the Gem Mine was the exact Valentina that was playing with Jungkook like a doll. He knew he was falling for her performance of the helpless damsel in distress. Yet, even when every word she was saying was deadly venom, there was something making him feel weak when he looked at her.
"Thinking about it now, Viola doesn't know much Korean and you aren't exactly Mr Italian man, are you? Maybe I could help break down the language barrier a bit?" she asserted as she gazed over at the growing grey apartment blocks dominating the surrounding pastel blue sky.
"What are you talking about? I could question her in Italian." he huffed, words soaking with stubbornness.
"Jungkook, you can barely speak English, nevermind Italian-" Valentina snickered as she started to hear a small laugh radiating from the back seat.
"I know Italian." he whined before he started spurting out the Italian for hello, please, thank you, goodbye etc. His exhibition of his Italian started to become him just naming Italian foods and eventually just doing an impression of Mario, only making Valentina's snicker grow into a fully grown laugh.
She turned around to find that the previous subtle Jimin was now hitting the neighbouring seat as he cackled away. Eyes having turned into strokes.
As she looked at the older man more, the revolting green that drowned his image was starting to evaporate off his skin to reveal a pastel pollen colour.
She was starting to feel glad that it was Jimin instead of anyone else that saw her as Amethyst Lightning.

Walls disguised in a gentle pink rose as colonies of photos littered the room. Some of the prints being of beautiful landscapes or warm family and friends photos. Every single piece of decor and furniture screaming out that Sara was the girl next door type character and Valentina knew this to be true.
Her family and the Morettis were always close, she even babysat Sara and Viola when she was younger. Sara to Valentina was the type of girl who was what every teen girl was expected to be. Life put perfectly together, A*s flooding her grade sheets, student president and the classical jock type boyfriend to come along with it.
