A Whole New Situation

I never knew that this man was crazy. He puts his gun back, kicks my mom one last time, and comes to punch me right dead in my face. He jumps out the window and scurries away. I touch my face and feel blood scattering all over my face. The touch of my own blood scares me to death. Even worse is that I see Jacob standing right at my door staring at me in awe.

Jacob's P.O.V

Suddenly, I see Auburn pass out. I run over to her and her mom and try to wake Auburn up. However, there is no way to get her to wake up. Maybe its time to call the police and ambulance.

Few Hours Later....

I sit alone with Jasmine and Aaron in the waiting room of the hospital. The sight of this place just gives me the creeps. Auburn's mom is ok and is getting checked out for anymore bruises on her body. However, Auburn is in bad condition. The doctors say that if I didn't call in time, she could have had a serious issue. Thank The Lord I was there... I can't believe Auburn didn't tell me this was happening at her house on a daily basis(as I learned from Aaron). But why would she? I have been a jerk the past few days. Plus, she saw me kiss Amber. I wish she didn't though. I like Auburn not snotty Amber. I wish she knew that..
Suddenly, the doctor comes out to the waiting room. Aaron,Jasmine, and I stand up, palms sweating.

"Well, she's fine. Just a few hard bruises here and there but she will be ok."

We all sigh of relief. You don't know how much I want to run to her and kiss her and tell her how much I love her.

"However, we have also found some other bruises that aren't new. We are concerned about Auburn's living conditions at home and school. I recommend you either change her school or home environment or serious things could happen to this poor girl."

"Well doctor, I promise she will be at a new home. She will be living with me from now on." I say without thinking about it.

Aaron looks shocked and confused, while Jasmine is still wiping tears from her face from the whole situation. Did I really think this through?

"Actually, we all need to make a decision on this. Since my mother can't take care of her, I guess that one of us three will be able to. I promise doctor that she will be in great hands with whatever decision we shall make for my baby sister. Thanks doctor." Aaron says like he is the boss of everything.

I really do hope this works out or Auburn might be gone forever...
