Chapter 18

Nico's POV

I hummed to myself as i watched over the camp while Percy's gone. It's been  a little over a day and it's been very very quiet. There hasn't even been one sighting of monsters, I was starting to think that Tyche was in a good mood.

I frowned though as i saw Dani ignore Kaden. He was into her, it was obvious, but as always the girl chooses the guy with all the power. Her boyfriend mini Octavian, is after us and we literally have to keep hidden. The daughter of Ares was really pretty he has to admit. She isn't like Clarrise in the least, her skills? Sure. But her looks and smile? Full on Aphrodite.

I had a urge to yell at them both. Her for being really blind and him for being wrapped around her finger.

"Sectumpera!" A man yelled, followed by a grunt. What the-

Hermione barged into the clearing, her eyes wild and face pale "Well? We're being attacked!"

Realisation hit me like a truck, I shot up to my feet and pulled my sword out from the shadows. I expertly twirled the 3 foot stygian sword and slowly took out the twig like wand from his back pocket. "Get your positions ready" I announced over my shoulder to the huddled group of teenagers.

Ron, Nivelle and Luna stood defensively, though there's is like a little awkward compared to the demigods' stance, who were all standing behind Zoë.

A man ran into the clearing, his black robes blowing against the wind"Avada Kedvera!" He pointed the wand at me, and cackled as it sped to me at godly speed.
If my reflexes weren't so good i probably would've been a fried nico,  but fortunately i jumped out the way on time and yelled out "Stupefy!"

Just almost immediately after that, the three wizards along with Thalia and  Leo jumped into battle. A small group of monsters around 60 or more ran into the clearing followed by deatheaters on brooms.

Dodge. Jump. Strike. Parry.

The sequence I've been using for quite some time now, but still no sign of Percy, Harry and Luke. I jumped over a bany hellhound and stabbed it from behind. Wincing a little as it reminded me of Mrs.O' Leary.

Suddenly a bright light flashed around the clearing, the monsters and death eaters stopped in their track and slowly started to walk back. I watched as shock as the last monster tumbled into the shadows of the forest leaving the wizards and us demigods in shock.

"W-what just happened?" Bianca asked, her breathing heavy.

No one asked her instead Hermione's eyes went wild "Where are they?" We turned and stayed silent in stunned shock. Luke and Ginny looked at each other warily silence. "Why aren't you answering me?"

Ginny wiped a few stray tears probably at the thought of her boyfriend missing.

Luke looked at Hermione sadly "They were taken, they took two of the most important people in this group" he ran a hand through his blonde hair "T-thats what they said anyway"

"What about the ring?" Castor asked calmly, "Did you guys at least get that?"

"That was the reason for this mini quest anyway" Theseus asked, his eyes hiding any emotion.

Hermione sighed and lifted her hand "It's with me"

'Kill them' the ring hissed.

Sirens rung in my head, "Did you guys hear that?"

An agreement rung out through the clearing, everyone looking weary at the ring. Everyone tense. "Im imune to it for some reason" Hermione shrugged and Silena nodded in agreement.
