Operation Izuocha (Izuku x Ochaco Fic)

Chapter 1: Busted

It was the third night after class 1-A had moved into their dorm rooms. Everyone's excitement, hardly having enough time to die down, sparked some interesting scenarios. It was currently a Wednesday afternoon and most people had retired to their dorm rooms, except for Mina, Toru, Asui, Ochaco and Momo who were all chilling in Mina's dorm.

"Your room is so nice Mina," said Ochaco "I wish I had one as pretty as this!"

"Aw, you're so sweet Uraraka. Although, I may have gone a bit overboard with the patterning." Mina responded.

Everything in Mina's room all fit into a black and magenta color scheme.

"I don't think so. I actually like how everything is so coordinated. Having a bunch of one thing isn't bad at all." Ochaco said.

This reminded Ochaco of when she saw Izuku's dorm during the challenge. How he had all the posters and figures of All Might everywhere. She thought that was so cute. The memory caused her to giggle to herself.

"What's so funny?" asked Momo

Ochaco looked up in surprise. She hadn't noticed her laugh was aloud.

"Oh... nothing." She began, looking down at her hands, "I was just remembering the way Deku had all those All Might posters and figures everywhere in his room."

Ochaco had a loving gaze on her face as she spoke, her cheeks dusted with a light shade of pink. This didn't go unnoticed by the other girls in the room. They all looked around at each other with smug grins on their faces, coming to the same conclusion. At this point, Ochaco had snapped out of her trance and was now concerned with the looks everyone was giving her.

"What is it?" she asked, innocently.

"Sounds like someone has a thing for Midoriya." Said Mina.

Ochaco went numb. She had been trying to sort out what exactly she was feeling toward Izuku ever since Aoyamo asked if she liked him during their exam. The fact that the girls all thought the same thing only helped strengthen the answer she'd feared was true.

"Wha-what?! That's not it! I-I just really admire his determination to become a great hero!" she said as she felt her face getting warmer.

"Uh-huh. Sure honey." Said Toru

"It's true!" said Ochaco, more desperate now.

"You know Uraraka," said Asui "It sounds more like your trying to convince yourself, rather than us."

Ochaco looked down again, pondering this. Deep down, she knew Asui was right.

"Having a crush isn't something you should be embarrassed about." Said Momo

"Yah!" said Toru "It's totally normal!"

"Besides," said Mina "I think you've got decent shot with Midoriya. Sometimes I even catch him staring at you in class."

This got Ochaco's attention.

"Really?!" she asked, her heart fluttering with excitement.

"Haha yup. In fact, I think it's about time we did something about this." Mina replied, with a mischievous grin.

"Huh?" Ochaco said in a worried tone, her butterflies now replaced with nerves.

"Well, I mean, everyone knows the two of you are both puddles of awkwardness when it comes to this stuff." Mina finished.

Although a tad insulted, Ochaco knew Mina was right. It's not like Izuku would ever initiate anything. However, it didn't change the fact that she was extremely skeptical about letting the girls metal in her love life. Little did Ochaco know... operation 'Izuocha' begun the moment her secret was revealed.
