It took forever, but the girls finally managed to drag Ochaco out of Momo's room and into the elevator. They were currently on their way to the first floor common area to meet up with the guys. Naturally, the boys had already been waiting half an hour for the girls to finish getting ready. When they emerged from the elevator Ochaco was hiding herself behind the group, wishing she had Toru's invisibility quirk.

"What the heck were you guys doing in there? Planning world domination?" asked Kirishima as the rest of the guys made their way over.

Ochaco caught a glimpse of Izuku through the gaps in her hiding spot and began to feel especially nervous.

"Ahaha, wouldn't you like to know?" Toru laughed.

Almost as a reply to Kirishima's question, the girls parted sideways to reveal a beautiful Ochaco.

"..."

The guys all stared for a moment. This made Ochaco slightly uncomfortable.

"Woah, nice dress Uraraka!" said Sero, breaking the silence. "What's the occasion?"

Ochaco looked at the girls for help.

"Oh, well... you know..." Momo stammered. "I needed someone to help me exercise my quirk. Ochaco here so graciously volunteered to wear the practice clothes I made... to uh... test their durability!"

"Riiiiiiiiight" said Kamanari, not convinced.

"Well, no matter the reason, I think the clothes Yaoyorozu made look really good on you!" Said Izuku, with his signature smile.

Just like that, all the effort to pick an outfit, to do her hair and makeup, the discomfort of standing out, it was all suddenly worth it. Momo was right. Ochaco would have done it over a hundred times just to hear those words again.

Together the group of teens exited through the front doors to make their way to the theatre.

"Just where do you think you're going?" called Mr.Aizawa from across the pavement.

"Whatever do you mean Mr.Aizawa?" said Mina, in a suspiciously unsurprised tone.

"What I mean, Ashido, is that everyone who failed the practical exam is supposed to be on house arrest. I figured some of you would try to sneak out, hence why I came but... I never imagined you'd be this obvious about it." He said.

It was right then that Ochaco's realization kicked in.

"Huh? House arrest!? That's so ruff." Sighed Kirishima.

How had she not seen it before? All the boys that agreed to come were ones who failed the practical. Ochaco had thought it was odd seeing Kirishima without Bakugou since they'd been inseparable lately.

"Yes, house arrest. Didn't you see that notice I posted on the announcement board? I decided to inform you that way as opposed to announcing it in front of the class, as not to embarrass you. Since nobody ever checks the board, I had instructed Ashido to fill in anyone who missed the memo." He finished, sounding a bit colder on that last part.

Everyone looked over at Mina with an annoyed expression, except Ochaco who now looked a little panicked.

"Oh whoopsie, guess I forgot." Mina said, not sounding the least bit guilty.

Ochaco desperately tried to meet Mina's gaze in order to prevent what was coming.

"O-oh well," Ochaco said through a dry throat, "we can always go another time."

"Aw but you look so cute Uraraka, it would be a shame for that outfit I made to go to waste. Besides you promised you'd test out its durability... remember?" Momo said.

Ochaco shot Momo a death glare.

"Yah... I remember." She said through gritted teeth.

"Hey! I have an idea. Why don't you and Midoriya just go together? He didn't fail his exam right?" Toru asked, rather scripted.

Although you couldn't see it, Ochaco would bet any money Toru was wearing an evil grin.

"Huh? What about you guys? You and Momo aren't under house arrest." Said Izuku, sounding suspicious.

Ochaco felt herself begin to sweat. Both Toru and Momo are SUPER bad at lying. If this kept up, he was defiantly going to find out what's going on.

"I bet I know why," Ochaco spoke, trying her best to sound confident. "Mina basically dragged them out tonight. Since she no longer gets to go, I bet these two could probably get away with ditching as well. I was the only one who was actually excited to come."

Ochaco felt that this would be the most believable explanation considering her bubbly personality. She looked over at Momo, who seemed very impressed and somewhat relieved. Ochaco was annoyed they hadn't even taken the time to come up with an excuse themselves.

"Oh..." Izuku said. He was starting to look a little worried.

"B-but we don't have to go! If you think that'd be too weird." Ochaco said.

She hoped Deku would call it off, but then... part of her didn't.

"I-I don't mind if you don't," he said.

"No really, it's totally your call. No pressure."

"Ok but if you feel li-"

"Oh my god!" said Mr. Aizawa, "Just make up your minds already, this is getting old."

Both Izuku and Ochaco blushed, not realizing everyone was still paying attention.

"As for the rest of you. Back inside!"

All the boys groaned in unison, while the girls giggled to themselves. Both groups made their way inside. Mina managed to give Ochaco one last look of 'you better not mess up all my hard work' before leaving.

Just before Kamanari passed through the door he turned around and he gave Izuku a big thumbs up.

"Good luck man!" He hollered back, with a wink.

Ochaco looked over at him in confusion. Meanwhile, Izuku was signaling for him to cut it out. Kirishima noticed and punched Kamanari in the arm to shut him up.

"Look whatever you two decide on," Aizawa started, "make sure you do it quick so you're back by curfew."

"Yes, sir." Said Izuku.

Mr. Aizawa walked away. Leaving the two of them alone.

"So..." said Ochaco.

"So..." replied Izuku, looking rather uncomfortable.

Ochaco figured if she didn't go out with him, she'd be in a heck of a lot of trouble with her friends.

"Hey, listen. This doesn't have to be weird. You and I are friends! We can still go out and have a good time. I mean... what else are friends for?" said Ochaco, in her trademark cheery tone. It's never failed to motivate him before.

For some reason, what Ochaco said hadn't managed to lift his spirits. He almost looked... disappointed?

"Right..." said Izuku, "Then let's get going!" He finished, forcing an energetic smile.

"Yay!" said Ochaco, skipping on ahead.

"...friends." Izuku sighed to himself.
