As the pack started making a barricade, Scott and Liam forced Samantha to sit quietly on a desk.

"I hate it when they get so overprotective." Samantha groaned as Theo leaned on the table she was sitting on.

"At least they like you." Theo chuckled.

"They're unbearable." Samantha huffed, rolling her eyes before turning to Theo. "So, Stiles told me you were—"

"Sam, stop flirting with the enemy." Liam called as he walked past.

"You're just jealous I never flirted with you, you gremlin." Samantha groaned. "Honestly, such a kill-joy."

Theo chuckled back, amused at the girl. "You're not like Scott."

Samantha hummed back, her eyes following Liam around with a glare. "I was closer to Stiles."

"Ah, Stiles." Theo nodded. "Smartest in the pack."

"Most intuitive and clever, yes." Samantha nodded back. "But he's not the smartest, no. That's Lyds."

Theo nodded back, his mind reeling. "And you?"

"I'm useless," Samantha shrugged. "but they love me."

"Yeah," Theo shook his head, chuckling slightly. "At least they do."

The lights flickered out, leaving the building in total darkness.

"Oh shit," Samantha flinched in surprise, falling over.

Theo reached out pulled on her hands, helping her up. "You okay, McCall?"

"Yeah, I'm fine." Samantha groaned, blinking.

"Your eyes are turning blue." Theo pointed out.

"That tends to happen." Samantha shrugged, letting go of Theo's hand.

"Wonder what happened?" Samantha hummed as she walked over to the break room, Theo following her blindly.

"Want something?" Samantha asked as she poured herself a glass of water. "Why do they only have mugs?"

"Uh, who's that?" Theo asked from his position at the doorway.

Drinking slowly from the mug, Samantha walked over her eyes widening at the sight of her ex-something on the floor.

She dropped the mug and started choking at the side, Theo looking confused as he gave her firm pats on her back.

"Nolan," She wheezed, glaring at the boy on the floor. "What the hell? You cut off the electricity?"

Liam glared over at the boy from the other side of the room. "Throw him out."

"No, no, you can't." Nolan pleaded. "Please don't, she'll know I screwed up."
