Samantha glared as she stood behind her father and Nolan, glaring at the latter with crossed arms.

Her eyes darted over to Ms. Monroe, who sat idly on her desk.

Samantha glared at her, too.

"Can we hurry this up? Scott's waiting for me at the airport." Samantha growled, her eyes darting over to Nolan. "Somebody's friends kind of want to hunt us down and murder us."

Nolan looked up at her and frowned, making her roll her eyes.

"I'm going out."

"Samantha, stay." Mr. McCall ordered his daughter before beginning his interrogation.

All the while, Samantha's glare darted between Ms. Monroe and Nolan, who kept looking back at her.

In anxiety or in heartbreak— She didn't care determining.

She snapped out of her daze when Monroe dismissed Nolan.

Nolan pulled his jacket off the chair and draped it over Samantha, who had nothing on but a thin long-sleeved shirt and shorts.

Samantha rolled her eyes as she started to exit the room, leaving her father with Monroe.

She started pulling the jacket off. "Liam's jacket is in his locker. I'll use that instead."

"Samantha please, just let me explain."

"What else is there to explain?" Samantha huffed as she turned a corner and approached the door to the men's locker room, Nolan following behind her. "You tried to kill me and my friends. How can I expect a relationship from you like that?"

"Well, you've been flirting with Theo that whole night!" Nolan exclaimed.

Samantha froze, her hand hovering over the doorknob.

Slowly, she turned and glared at the boy. "Are you insinuating this whole thing between you and me is my fault?"

"Samantha, no—"

"Let me remind you that you've been with that group before I met Theo and before you found out that I knew Theo and who Theo really was." Samantha hissed before entering the locker room. "This? This is not my fault."

Nolan entered the locker room after Samantha, locking it.

"Why'd you lock it?" Samantha huffed, approaching Liam's locker and turning the lock dial. "Are you going to kill me now?"

"I'm trying to hide you." Nolan muttered, approaching Samantha. "I-I can't bear the thought of losing you."

Samantha pulled Liam's jacket out of the locker.

Nolan's eyes shone with sadness as Samantha pulled off his jacket and shrugged on the maroon letterman with the letters spelling DUNBAR printed clear as day on the back.
