I need something,
Something to devour my mind,
Something that can take my thoughts away from this pain.I have searched every hill,
Every valley,
Every river,
Every stream.But I find nothing,
Through all my years.Nothing more than pain,
Nothing more than darkness,
Nothing more than that which tears apart my soul.I wish I could feel nothing,
Only to become stone.I wish I could breath,
Without taking in the scent of death.I wish I could drown my mind,
Drown out the thoughts that kill.I want for something,
It doesn't have to be big,
It doesn't have to be extravagant,
It doesn't have to be grand.I want for something,
It can be small,
It can be worthless,
It can be simple. But it has to cure.
What I have found,
In all these years of wandering,
Is that what I search for does not exist. At least not in this world.
At least not in this darkness.
At least not in this time.My heart has died,
Several times.
To what end,
I do not know. All I know, is that I must keep searching.
Searching for that something,
Searching for that cure.
