Jessie’s POV (Fury/Battlefield)
“Isaac, I have… a ….bad feel…ing about the…. others,” Jessie suddenly said.
“It’s going to be okay, Jess,” I told her.
“No, they’re….they’re in trouble…I feel it,” she said. What? She can feel it. “I…hear…gunshots,” she stated. She was freaking out. I listened, but heard nothing.
“Jess, there’s not gunshots,” I told her.
“Yes there is!” she exclaimed, her eyes changing to an electric blue.
Peter’s POV
I stood on the bridge and watched as Gerard drowned Matt, the kid that controlled the Kanima. “No longer afraid of the water?” Gerard asked. “Well, you don’t have to be afraid of anything, my friend,” he added. I watched as the Kanima came out from under the bridge. Gerard placed his hand up as the Kanima did the same. They placed their hands together. I walked away, but not without seeing a flash of electric blue eyes in the trees.
Erica’s POV
Boyd and I walked in the middle of the woods at dark. “Derek told us to be back before sunup,” I said. Suddenly Boyd stopped me. “I thought I heard something,” he said.
“Look, if we’re gonna do that whole “I thought I heard something” thing, then we shouldn’t be stopping. We should be running,” I stated.
“No, listen,” Boyd said. There was a wolf howling in the distance. “Coyote?” I asked. Boyd shook his head. “Wolf?”
“No, it can’t be,” Boyd said. “They’re no wolves in California.”
“No, but there are werewolves,” I told him.
“That didn’t sound like Derek,”
“Maybe it was,” I said. Then suddenly there were a bunch of howls.
Derek’s POV
I looked through a book quickly. Jessie was sitting near me. I put my head up, hearing Boyd and Erica behind me. “You’ve decided,” I stated turning around to face them. “When?”
“Tonight,” Erica replied.
“Everyone’s gonna be at the game. We figured it would be the best time,” Boyd replied.
“It’s not like we want to,” Erica added. I took a couple of steps forward.
