Jessie’s POV
I watched as Isaac went back and forth in front of the loft window. I was sitting on the spiral stairs. “You know, I’m starting not to like this idea. Sounds kind of dangerous,” Isaac said as he pasted back and forth. I had just found out the Boyd and Erica were missing for four freaking months. I was mad at him for not telling me and therefore ignoring him. The only reason I was here right now was to support Isaac, ‘cause apparently he was taken too, but he escaped.
So yea, I’ve been in the blue about my friends that are basically my family for four months.
“You know what? I definitely don’t like this idea, and I definitely don’t like him,” Isaac said continuing to pace.
“You’ll be fine,” Derek reassured.
“Does it have to be him?”
“He knows how to do it, I don’t. Be more dangerous if I tried doing it myself,” Derek replied not taking his eyes of the book he was reading.
“You know Scott doesn’t trust him, right? You know, personally, I’d…Well, I’d trust Scott.”
“Do you trust me?” Derek asked. Isaac hesitated. “Yeah,” he replied after a bit of silence. Derek went back to his book. “I still don’t like him,” Isaac muttered.
“Nobody likes him,” Derek replied. Okay, what the hell can he be reading? Suddenly the lost door slid open and Peter came in.
“Boys, FYI, yes coming back from the dead has left my abilities somewhat, but the hearing still works. So I hope you’re comfortable saying whatever it is that you’re feeling straight to my face," Peter said using his hands to gesture.
“We don’t like you,” Derek said with a straight face. He stood up and threw the book on the table. “Now shut up and help us,” Derek added. Peter looked at him.
“Fair enough,” Peter said as his claws came out. Isaac sat down in a chair while Derek was sitting on the couch and I was still on the spiral stairs. “Relax. I’ll get more out of you if you’re calm,” Peter said to Isaac.
“How do you know how to do this, again?”
“It’s an ancient ritual used mostly by Alpha’s since it’s a skill that requires quite a bit of practice. One slip and you could paralyze someone, or kill them,” Peter explained.
“But you’ve had a lot of practice, though, right?” Isaac asked stuttering a bit. I could tell he was nervous and scared, actually I could smell it.
“Well, I’ve never paralyzed anyone,” Peter replied. I saw Derek furrow his eyebrows in confusion. “Wait, does that mean that….” Isaac didn’t get to finish before Peter dug his claws into Isaac’s neck. Isaac’s eyes turned yellow while Peter’s turned blue. They both grunted as Peter’s and Isaac’s eyes changed to normal. Derek stood up, probably about to stop them.
“Wait, I see them,” Peter said. Then after a minute, Peter jerked back, using the table for support. “What’d you see?” Derek asked.
“Uh, it was confusing. Um, images. Vague shapes,” Peter panted as he started to rub his fist.
“But you saw something,” Derek said.
“Isaac found them,” Peter said, still rubbing his fist.
“Erica and Boyd?” Derek asked.
“I barely saw them. I mean glimpses.”
“But you did see them?”
“And worse..” Peter replied.
“Deucalion,” Derek finished.
“He was taking to them. Something about time running out,” Peter replied standing by one of the loft pillars. “What does it mean?” Isaac asked looking to Derek.
