Chapter Four: The Hogwarts Express: Part Two
In a moment emerald flames engulfed me and I was now steeping out onto the platform, Platform 9 ¾ to be exact. Lilly and Athena quickly found me and we set out to find a compartment on the train. Most of the compartments were empty, as people were still saying goodbye to their parents or guardians. We don't have the luxury of living with our parents. If we did, our parents would be younger than us.
We found a compartment in the Gryffindor section. It was rather obvious that it was the Gryffindork section as the couches were red with gold furnishings. We sat down; I was sitting beside the window on the left side, while Lilly and Athena were opposite to me. I looked into the crate that was perched on the seat beside me. Inside Paws was scratching the metal attempting to get out.
"Awe! You're such a cutie! Aren't you?" I cooed, opening the small door only for Paws to come bounding out, and curling up into a ball on my lap. I inwardly cooed at him again. He is just so freaking adorable.
"I know I'm cute, Primrose, but you don't need to coo about it." Said Sirius, standing in the doorway with a smirk. I rolled my eyes, and saw James and another guy I hadn't met yet standing beside him.
"I definitely wasn't talking about you, Sirius. Who's your friend? Other than James, I didn't actually think you had any." I replied. I can't help my remarks, okay? I've been trying to subdue them, but it only works half of the time.
"Ouch, Primrose, that hurts." He said, walking into the compartment and sitting rather close to me. I shifted away a bit, only for him to put his arm around me, pulling me closer.
"I'm Remus, by the way." Said Sirius' other friend. He had a book in his hand and dirty blond hair. His face had a few scars on it, but other than that, he was rather attractive. Not my type though. He sat in front of Lilly, beside James. Lilly looked a bit star struck before she responded, sticking out her hand, and introducing herself.
"I'm Lilly. Lilly Grey." She said, shaking hands with Remus. They began talking about the upcoming installation to a book series and everyone else tuned out. Sirius then took the spot next to Athena and wrapped his arm around her shoulder. She pushed it off quickly.
"Regardless of what you believe, Black, we are not together, nor will we ever be together, so you can stop treating me like we're dating, because we aren't." Said Athena, scooting away from him. I held back a giggle, still trying to get out of James grip to no avail. Apparently, to James and Sirius, they need to approve of who we date at Hogwarts. They validate it by saying they know everyone there more than we do, and they just want to protect us. It's almost like they're over protective parents. It really is like that. I'm half expecting one of them to attempt to matt down my hair, which I purposely made messy because then it looks like it has volume, and scold me, before lecturing me on how to properly use a brush.
"James, would you just let go." I said, attempting to move away from him. He shook his head, and I began attempting to run out of my seat, but James caught me around my waist, so I didn't get too far. I didn't give up, though. I was unintentionally running on the spot for ten minutes before I sat back in my seat.
"Gave up? That's right because I am awesome!" James said, smirking, and performing a weird childish dance. It would have given me time to run away, but since I was too fatigued at that point, I just sat with my back against the seat. I stuck my tongue out at James, which apparently taunted him because in about ten seconds I was on the ground with him tickling me. I was thrashing and laughing, but James managed not to get kicked.
"They're like a pair of five year olds." Remus observed. James and I shot our head up, and scowled almost in sync.
"Are not!" we shouted. We then looked at each other and were thrown into a fit of giggles, only occurring because of how alike we are.
"They're like an old married couple." Observed Athena, smirking at me.
"Ewww! Athena! Boys have cooties! I probably wouldn't date James, anyways. Can't risk getting the cootie virus." I said, giggling at the beginning and being serious at the end. Being Sirius. : )))))))))))))))))))))))))).
"Hey!" James shouted, pushing me in my seat. I only laughed and pushed him back. During our pushing war, Lilly gave me a knowing look, as to say she knew that we would get together. We probably would have to. You know, for the sake of the mission and stuff. Not because I actually want to. No way in a bazillion years.
Just then, a rather chubby looking guy showed up at the compartment door. He had bad acne, and disgustingly long hair. He looked rather revolting.
"Guys, can I sit with you? The only other compartment is with that creepy girl from Ravenclaw whose obsessed with you guys." He said.
"Go away, Peter!"The guys collectively shouted. Athena, Lilly, and I giggled, as the boy walked away. I kind of felt bad for him, but he looked like the kind of guy that would sell you out because someone "better" asked him to.
"Anyways, what house do you girls want to be in?" asked Remus. We all looked at each other before answering simultaneously.
"Gryffindor." Only, I might've said "Gryffindork" causing everyone to look at me funny. I started laughing from their looks, and soon we were all laughing and having a great time. Maybe this mission wouldn't be so bad.
