"Are you freaking kidding me?" Harper snapped as she held up the red, wet sock. "Why is this here? I told you to separate the colored from the whites!" She paused as she bent to take one of her shirts from the laundry machine. Holding it up, she waved the garment in front of him, droplets of water flying about. "Look at my Armani shirt! It became pink!" Groaning, she threw among the pile inside the machine, growing even more frustrated when she realized that every white blouse she had were stained with pink splotches. "They're all ruined."

"I'm sorry, okay? I missed that one." Cyrus shrugged as he folded the dry clothes before stuffing them back into their duffel bag. "I'll buy you new ones if you're so upset about that. Or we can bleach them again and they'll be good as new."

"This is not about the clothes! This is about you being a scatterbrain and not even caring about it!" Her voice was getting louder and he thanked the gods that there were only a handful of people there at they laundromat with them. "Why can't you just do things right!"

"Will you shut up? Are we really going to argue about this? They're just clothes."

"Do not tell me to shut up..." Harper warned.

Cyrus stopped folding and looked her squarely in the eye. "Shut up."

A splash of soapy water hit his face.

Sighing, he continued on his task deciding it was better to not aggreviate the situation further. It was his fault after all and she did gave him a fair warning before he decided to push her buttons.

And he loved pushing her buttons.

They both worked together is silence. Her loading and unloading the washer and him putting the clothes in and out of the dryer. When she had nothing to do, she helped him with the folding. They both said nothing, the whirring of the machines and the hum of distant traffic were all they could hear.

Soon there was nothing left to do but wait for the next load to finish and the two of them sat on the waiting bench with a synchronised sigh before they reached for their phones in their pocket and scrolled absentmindedly for the next few minutes.

"I'm sorry that I ruined your clothes. I really am." He said, eyes still glued on the screen.

"It's alright." She answered.

"Where do you want to eat after this?" He asked.

"I heard there's a new Korean place down at Madison. Alissa said the food is really good there."

Cyrus hated Korean food but he heard himself say. "Sounds good. Let's go there."

Harper moved closer and put her on his shoulder. She knew he hated Korean food but he still ate it because he knew she loved it. It was those little things that made her love him. He hated crowds but still went with her on every fan events. He's couldn't stand cats but still agreed that they should adopt three because she felt sorry for the strays that hung around their apartment. He wasn't fond of watching horror movies but still sat and watched them with her on their Saturday movie nights.

They bicker and argue every couple of minutes but somehow they can't live without each other.

Harper laughed and nudged him with her elbow. "Check out this video of a dog peeing while doing handstands."

Cyrus watched and both of them were nearly dying of laughter at the end of it.
