DAY 6
Story: Realms
Pairing: Victor Castillo/Ismeralda Delos Reyes-CastilloNote: Slightly NSFW but nothing too extreme
~"Thank you Arturo. I will see you next Saturday." Ismeralda said before waving the fruit vendor goodbye. The merkado was packed, everybody seemed to be doing their weekly shopping that hot, Saturday morning. Looking around at the crowded space, she looked for her husband who was just standing right beside her, but seemed to have drifted away while Arturo was chattering about how this year's mango harvest was not as good as last year's. The fruits were too bland, he said and then proceeded to lecture Ismeralda how to properly grow a mango tree.
She was growing impatient with his chatter but the old man didn't seem to notice the disdain on her face as he continued on and on. Her papa told her to always be respectful to elders so Ismeralda bit her tongue and tried her best to pretend that she was listening.
She spotted Victor a couple of stalls away, inspecting some kalabasas carefully. It wasn't that hard to spot him in a sea of people since he was a head taller than everybody else.
It's been exactly a week after they said their vows and this was the first trip to town they went together as a married couple. She was about to approach him when she noticed that Daniella Alvarez was standing beside him, talking, smiling sweetly and batting her dark, long eyelashes at him.
Ismeralda's blood boiled at the sight of the woman. How can she still be so desperate? She lifted her chin and marched towards them, the crowd parting for her. She acquired a reputation in town of being unapologetically blunt and unafraid to stir up a storm. Everybody had already seen that look on her face before. She had that look when she was about to give someone a piece of her mind.
"Daniella..." She said, her tone cold as ice.
"Ismeralda!" Daniella chirped a little too brightly and Ismeralda had to dig her fingers into her palm to prevent herself from openly rolling her eyes. "It's lovely to see you!"
"Is it? I imagine it was even more lovely to see my husband seeing that you still shamelessly throw yourself at him even after he got married."
Victor looked like he just swallowed a handful of nails and Daniella was so flabbergasted, she forgot how to speak.
"Alright! It was nice bumping onto you Daniella but we must carry on with our shopping. See you around!" Victor said so fast the words were barely audible before he took his wife's arm and hurriedly walked away. They expertly weaved their way through the market and rounded a corner towards a narrow alley which was barely enough for two people. Hidden from prying eyes, Victor let Ismeralda go and set their bayongs on the ground.
"Why would you tell her that mahal?" He exclaimed, rubbing the bridge of his nose.
"What? I was just putting her in her place."
"She wasn't doing anything. She was just asking how we are, if we already settled in."
"Right, because we are such close friends, Daniella and I. She would really care about the recent happenings of my life as if she didn't spent nearly ten years calling me fishgirl! And how can you be so blind of her affections towards you! It's so obvious half of the barrio knows about it!" She took a deep breath in a feeble attempt to calm herself. "And I don't like how she looks at you." She added, crossing her arms in front of her and let out an irritated huff.
To her surprise, Victor laughed. "You sound like you're jealous."
"I am." She admitted.
At that Victor looked at her gravely, all the playfulness gone from his eyes. "I would never love anyone but you. I hope you know that." He took a step closer, closing the small space between them and put his hands on her waist. He was a lot taller than her and he had to lean down a great deal to nuzzled her neck.
Ismeralda sighed and breathed him in, letting his warmth overtake her and washing away all her annoyance over the incident. "I do know that."
He started kissing her ear and she closed her eyes, feeling her knees grow weak, a feeling of want starting to build up at the base of her stomach. "I never cared about her. I will never care about her." He said softly before he put his mouth over hers.
She let him kiss her for a bit but after a couple of moments, she put her hands on his chest and gently pushed him away. "I know what you're doing." Ismeralda said, her shaky voice betraying her resolve. "You're trying to distract me but it's not working."
Victor leaned in, resting his forehead on hers and hummed. "My suspicious wife. Always thinking that I am up to no good all the time." He ran his hands up and down her arms, taking even more steps forward until she was pressed against the wall.
Victor kisses her again and Ismeralda didn't resist this time, letting herself melt from the heat of his mouth. She felt his large hands at the small of her back as her fingers ran themselves into the wild curls of his hair. They had always been a tandem, their movements so in synch as a result of spending the majority of their young life together as friends. Soon, Ismeralda was lost in his scent, his taste, his warmth, her hands reaching around the back of his neck to pull him closer, deepening their kiss.
Their bodies were pressed closed, his hands running over her thighs through the fabric of her long skirt. She felt a cold rush of wind on her legs and she realized that he was lifting it up, higher and higher until his calloused fingers traced the hem of her bloomers. Her heart was beating so wildly in her chest at the dizzying excitement of what they were doing. Ismeralda then gasped when she felt his hand slip underneath the elastic of her underwear, his fingers unabashedly stroking her folds. She moaned as a thrill she already knew to well vibrated through her and before she could think she was lifting her leg to grind onto his hand.
Victor growled as his lips left hers and went to kiss her neck, then down to her collarbone and then went even lower to her chest. She arched her back to lean into his eager mouth, panting and needing more. She needed more of him. All of him. And the thought of them having sex in that alleyway was so thrilling and tempting.
No, this is not right, she thought. Yes, he was her husband but these kind of activities were reserved for the privacy of a couple's bedroom.
She hated how she had to be right all the time.
Gritting her teeth and with the last bit of determination she possessed, she said. "Not here." Victor let out a groan in protest, still leaving open-mouthed kisses at the top of her breasts. Ismeralda leaned back and gently touched the sides of his face making him look at her. With his dazed look, flushed face and kiss-swollen mouth, she almost forgot why she had to stop him. "We still have some shopping to do."
Victor sighed in defeat, as he gathered himself still holding her close. Eventually he nodded. "Very well." He said as his hands left her making her instantly regret her decision. He dugged into his back pocket and pulled out a piece of paper where she scribbled their shopping list earlier that morning. "We still need to get some radishes, onions and half a kilo of sugar."
"Well, let's go." She smoothed her blouse then bent down to pick one of their shopping baskets. "I'll let you finish what you started here when we get home."
Victor gathered their baskets eagerly, took her hand and went back to the stalls to finish shopping at lightning speed.
