Song: one of us by ABBA

Phoenix was a crier, he knew that. He would at sad movies or if someone else was crying the tears would come up out of sympathy. He would cry because of small things. This was not a small thing. It wasn't his fault really, he didn't start the fight but he did finish it. He finished not only the fight but he also finished his relationship. He said words he shouldn't have, but he wasn't the only one. Now he was gone. Miles did what he always did when his emotions got hard to deal with, he ran way. He always said it was work, but they both knew he running from what he didn't want to confront.

So Phoenix did the only thing he could think of, cry. He lay in the bed he use share, crying his eyes out. It had been two days since their fight and he had only left their bed to pee. He couldn't eat, he didn't have the energy. He stared at the ceiling wishing that Miles would come home he would do anything to keep him happy as long as came back to their home, back to him.

Phoenix hated being alone. Maya was back in Kurain with Pearls, so he had no one comfort him. Not that the girls could do much to help his broken heart, the only one who could do that was gone. Phoenix was alone crying for someone and something he could have again. Miles was the reason he became what was, now he didn't want to stand in court anymore. The court rooms held too many memories within their walls.

He really was stupid just like Miles said. His tears ran down the small rivers on his face. He felt so small as he wept alone on his bed.

—————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————

Miles was in bed alone. Before Phoenix, that fact wouldn't make him feel so sad. Before Phoenix he would always sleep alone. Now he missed the warmth Phoenix would bring, he was always warm. Now he missed how gently Phoenix would hold him, he was always safe. Phoenix was the light that pulled him out of the darkness, but now Phoenix was gone.

It was his fault he knew that. Miles was the one who started a pointless fight. Phoenix may have ended it but Miles is the one at fault. Not only that, he used work as an excuse to leave. He wanted to go back to their home, he wished he never left at all. He didn't go back because Phoenix is there and he couldn't bring himself to hurt him any farther. He would say the wrong thing and hurt him more. Anyways Phoenix most likely hates him now. It was his fault.

Miles lay on his hotel bed staring at the ceiling. He glanced at his cell phone laying on the nightstand. Waiting for a call from Phoenix. A call telling Miles, he didn't hate him. A call asking him to come home, he would. He would run back to him. The call would never come. So Miles just stared at the ceiling. He was the stupid one. The tears started slowly and for the first time in a while Miles Edgeworth wept. He felt so small and stupid, as he cried himself to sleep alone and too far from his home, his heart, his Phoenix.
