The artefact

Geno woke up at the sound of something crashing into the floor of the Ant-void. When had he fallen asleep?

Turning towards the sound, he found Error laying spraled out on the floor grouning in pain as he was covered in dust.

''What the H*** happened to you?''

With a sigh, the destroyer roled over onto his back and glared at the other. The glare seemed more tired then anything elso though so Geno paid it no mind. What was more intressting was the transparent SOUL-formed object in his left hand.

''And whats that?''

Error gave up on his glaring and raised his left hand upp in the air so that the object was right above him.

''This is a sacret artefact of a very obscure AU, and it is the reason I'm like this. They did not want to let it go without a fight.''

Error breathed out heavily and muttered something about Ink getting on his case for almost destroying an AU under his breath.

''Why did you need it in the first place?''

At first, Geno did not think Error had heard him as his brother had carefully laid down his left arm and seemingly fallen asleep.

''It's for you with this you will be able to visit any AU without dying. It's not healty to live in this place too long so I figured we could ask Night to stay at his place.''

It would seem he was not asleep yet, though his voice gave away how tired he was.

''I'll tell you how it works after I've had a nap. Too d*** tired.''

And with thise words he fell asleep. Shroughing his shoulders, Geno laid down and did the same. It's not like there was much else to do as Error would be enraged if he touched his sewing supplies without permission.

{three hours later}

Error would say that he woke up surprisingly rested.

Hastely looking over the artifact and making ssure it was not damaged, Error let a small smile creap up on his face. Now all he would have to do was convince Geno to use it. As if summoned by the mention of his name, Geno suddenly spoke up fro behind him.

''So, how does that thing work exactly?''

''Well...''

Error hesitated slightly, not sure about what Geno would think about it.

'Screw it, I already went through the trubble of getting it.'

''If you put your soul into this, it works like a locket, and leave it in a safe place you cant die if something happens to your body as long as the soul and artefact are safe. We could leave it here in the antivoid as it can blend in with the souls I have stringed up, and since your soul is in a place where time more or less don't exist, you will not turn to dust when you leave.''

The Anti-void is filled with nothing but silence when he is finnished with his explanation. Error did not dare look at Geno, but if anyone asked if he was aftaid of his brother he would wehemently deny it.

In the end, all that could be heared was a soft sigh.

''I'll guess it's a good idea. I really don't want my child to grow up in a place like this. Not to mention it will be much easier for Reaper to find me if I stay here, just let me make sure that Nightmares place is sutable enough for children.''

Error chouckle in relief, that could have gone a lot worse.

''I don't think it will be a problem. He is already trying to make it more child friendly for his own kid.''

Error stod up and handed the artifact to Geno. Geno carefully opened it and then summoned his 1/9 of a soul and carefully placed it in the artifact. When Geno closed it, the light eminited by his soul caused the artefact to give of the ilussion of being a whole soul.

Geno seemed almost transfixed by it, if also somewhat vistfull. Carefully, Error tied some of his strings around it and hissed it up into the air until it was hidden amoung the other souls. There was no reason to worry about it getting lost as Geno could easily tell which of them was his.

Satisfied with a job well done, Error opened a portal and gesture for Geno to walk through.

''Let's go talk to Night about moving in with him, hopefully he is still at Blueberry's place. I'm sure the little matchmaker would love to meet you.''

AN: Do the artefact remind anyone else about horcuxes, or is it just me? I just came to mind after I came up with the idea in order to get Geno out of the Anti-void. Also, this might be the last chapter for this story for a while, dont know how much time I will have available to write with now that the summers soon over.
