Michael couldn't sleep, although his body was exhausted and his legs almost gave out beneath him as he got to the apartment. He took a long shower, washing the ocean's tears out of his hair. He swore he could smell that girl on him, just the way he could feel her legs still wrapped around his waist. His palms were flat against the ice cold tiles as the water pelted his back. He knew he should stay away from her. It shouldn't be hard, considering that he knows virtually nothing about her-- just that she's the most beautiful girl that he's ever laid his eyes on.

Instead of sleeping, he collapsed on the bed and pulled out his phone, searching her name on Google. He clicked on the first result, which was Facebook. She didn't have much on her profile that was public, aside from a few pictures of herself. Her natural hair color was caramel brown, which surprised him, as if he didn't know that she wasn't born with blue hair. Michael scrolled through the pictures, one by one, smiling as he thought of her on the beach, her focus completely on him. He opened her Instagram, which was public, highly followed, and full of gorgeous photography. She was talented. Michael should have expected that, but he didn't. Her Snapchat username was listed in her bio, so he quickly switched apps and added her before he could overthink it.

After adding her, Michael tried to lie back and get some rest, but every time his phone buzzed with a notification, he fumbled for it to see if it was Tara. This went on for hours, but he couldn't bring himself to turn the phone off. Finally, he rolled out of bed and made his way to the living room to immerse himself in a video game. Luke was already on the couch, looking well-rested. Just the sight of him annoyed Michael, because he knew that Luke would try to lecture him if he found out that he'd spent the last 3 hours thinking of Ashton's new love interest.

Michael paused the game just as Luke was about to win against him, causing Luke to groan in frustration.

"Bathroom break!" Michael feigned innocence. He heard Luke resume the game to finish the battle as soon as Michael left the room. Funny enough, the video game was the perfect distraction, because 4 hours flew by in an instant. As he pulled his phone out of his pocket to check for notifications, the screen lit up.

taradactyl added you back!

Michael stopped in the hallway and began typing, noticing that she was typing at the same time. What was he supposed to say to her? Instead of saying anything, he stuck his tongue out for the camera and snapped a picture. She opened it as soon as it was sent, but there was never a response.
