Luna

I TRIED TO scream, but no words were falling out. I tried to move, but my feet suddenly turned to cement blocks. I tried to do anything, but I was paralyzed, shaking in fear at the sight in front of me. A shaky breath left my lips as I quickly blinked. I looked at the now empty bed, baffled at the sight in front of me.

"Wha- how?" I quietly asked myself. I stumbled back a bit, my legs now being able to move. My chest rose and fell quickly, confused at what was happening. As I was about to scream for Carlton, I turned around and stopped quickly, flinching and taking another step backwards until my legs brushed the bed. I looked at him over quickly in confusion as he held his finger to his lips, shushing me before I could say anything. He lifted his hands up and fixed his hood. I flinched as I thought he was going to touch me as I stared wide eyed at him, my breathing irregular and my body shaking in fear. I stared at him a bit longer before I finally spoke up, tears escaping my wide eyes.

"Who are you? What do you want?" I asked him quietly. I held my hands in attempt to stop them from shaking.

It didn't work.

"Oh, love, you're shaking like a fallen leaf," he replied with a small smirk and gleaming black eyes.

Where the hell is Carlton?

"You're not allowed to be here-" in a blink of an eye he was in my face. He lifted his hand up and I flinched, shutting my eyes tightly as I tried to calm my rugged breathing. I was debating on what to do, but I stopped once he slid one of his fingers down my cheek, trailing the path of one of my fallen tears. I opened my eyes slowly, but I wish I hadn't. He was smiling so widely at me that you could clearly see his fangs.

"P-please," was all I could whimper out when he turned my face to the side, exposing my neck.

"Awe, I really would like to stay and play around, but I got places to be. See you soon, love," and just like that, he was gone. I hiccupped on a sob and fell to the ground, my knees now not being able to support my weight.

Why is this happening to me?

~~

I don't remember much after that whole encounter with the vampire that's been with my father. Apparently my suitcase was packed and sitting on my bed when Carlton ran up the stairs asking if I was okay. I tried to explain what happened, but I didn't make much sense with my sobbing and hiccups. I couldn't stop seeing his smirk and eyes when I closed my eyes. I could still feel his finger glide across my cheek if I paid attention to it, but I tried my best not to. I hate it.

I hate him.

"I don't understand," Carlton whispered to himself as he paced in front of me, ripping me out of my thoughts. I watched him for a moment, then looked to the floor once again. He seemed as he was fighting a battle in his mind as he started biting his lower lip in frustration.

"What?" I questioned.

"I didn't hear him," he mumbled out, but it was as if he was answering his own question out loud rather than my own. He kept his eyes trained on the floor in thought, anger then taking over and he groaned and walked out of the room. I let my legs extend on Carlton's bed, them aching from having them so closely pressed against my chest. I sighed as I stretched, lowering my body on the bed so I could rest my head on the pillows.

I laid there, staring at the wall as I thought about the events that took place in the recent past. I realized that I was starting to accumulate feelings toward Carlton, my father turned into a vampire, and now this creepy guy is stalking me. I continued to ponder if my life was going to get better at some point in the future. I scoffed while shaking my head, everything was definitely going to get worse. I wanted my father to be here and hold me and tell me everything was going to be okay, but it wasn't. Not by a long shot. Everything has changed now and I'm not sure if I'll be able to handle it.
