This was the stimulus for this one, hope you enjoy ❤
-----------------------------------------------------------
I rushed down the slippery cobbled floor to get to my train. Running in these hazardous conditions isn’t the best decision I’ve made in my life but at this moment in time I didn’t have a choice. It was either that or miss the last trip home and I was not going to do that in this treacherous weather. As I clattered down the path in my heels, one got slightly wedged between one of the slats and it broke off.

“Crap” I mumbled, trying to pull it out from between the two cobbles but it wouldn’t budge so I begrudgidly left it.

To say those were my louboutins.

1 month they lasted, 1 month.

I continued my journey to the train station it now being only 5 minutes away and my train left in 3 so I increased my pace, my legs moving beneath me at a now inhumane speed anyone would think I was a vampire or something. Rain was now pelting onto my hair resulting in me looking like a drowned rat, my clothes, sticking to my body making me feel disgusting.

A huge crowd of people came walking in my direction causing my running to come to a halt, almost making me trip and lose my balance.

“Hey, watch where you’re going!” a man yelled.

“I’m so sorry, I have a train to catch” I tried to explain but by that time he’d got halfway up the road not hearing a word I said.

Now quickly weaving myself through the crowd of people I checked my watch seeing that there  was 2 minutes till my train  arrived at the platform.

I mentally wept seeing this as I realised I was still 5 minutes away and with this amount of people I wasn’t going to get there in time. Meaning that I was stuck in New York with only money for my train fare and far from enough to stay a night in a hotel.

I knew I should’ve got ready earlier but I fell asleep and woke up late because I had been working all night trying to sort out the accounts for my business.

Mind filled with thoughts I didn’t watch where I was going and my broken shoe went in a crack making me fall to the ground. I was now 2 minutes away as I noticed the train doors closing and it chunting off down its path. I lay on the ground in shock for a second, if 2 minutes earlier I would’ve been on there but instead I was lying on this cold hard dirty wet floor. A tear slipped from my eye. I don’t know why because I don’t usually cry when things like this happen but I guess its just that when you try so hard to reach something and you don’t, its disappointing. And this is a prospect that near enough summed up my whole life.
