She hides behind a veil,
Her feelings a sheet.
Pain and despair,
Guilt and deceit.
That she hides so well for no one to see, Putting on a happy face of smiles and glee

Because

"They'd never understand"

She said,

As she silently wept in her head.

The constant thoughts wishing she were dead.

Feeling empty, broken, bruised

Her heart broken from the pain of being used

Being used by this world,
Being used by herself,
Being used by her friends,

Being used as a shelf

To stack boxes and boxes on of emotions

Ones she will never process

Because she runs and runs,

Constantly avoiding.

Never facing and avoiding the choices,

Of how she should consult these feelings.

The ones that tear her up inside and leave her reeling.

Back into her bed as she ends the day,

Closing her eyes and wishing the pain away.

Back in her head where she shall stay.

Mind forever turning and never at bay..
