"You and Finn are THE cutest couple!" Millie said with emphasis.
"I agree, I wish I could find a loyal boy like him." Sadie said dreamily.
"Haha, thanks, we're just... really close I guess?" I stuttered.
"Hey girls!" Jack had unzipped the tent entrance.
"Hey Jack!" I scooted over so he could sit.
"How's the fire going?" Sadie asked.
"Like shit. It's impossible." He said with wide eyes.
"Lemme try!" She said, exiting the tent.
"How are you and Noah?" Jack asked Millie.
"Pretty good, we're not to serious though." She shrugged.
"Oh, does he push the topic away?" I referred to how Finn did the same before.
"No. I'm just not looking for a super serious relationship right now." Millie sighed.
"Oh." Jack and I said at the same time.
"MILLIE, COME TAKE A PICTURE! I SEE SPARKS!" Sadie said from the outside.
Millie stumbled up and broke her way through to see what was happening, Jack rolled his eyes, and I giggled.
"IM COMING SADIE-GIRL!"
Once she left Jack looked at me.
"What?" I asked.
"Remember those weeks you stayed at my place?" He said with an almost invisible smile.
"Of course, hehe, why?" I asked back, confused.
"I miss those days." He looked back down.
I didn't know what to say. I didn't really even understand where he was going with this.
"Yeah, um, me too..." I also looked down.
He lifted my chin up with his first two fingers, and smiled. "Hey," he paused. "Smile."
I grinned a bit until he put his hand back.
Then I looked away into another direction, was he flirting???
"J-Jack, I'm dating Finn, your best friend!" I whispered nervously.
"Wha- no Julia, I'm not flirting with you. I just care about you, okay?" He scrunched his eyebrows. "I just want you to know that I'm always here for you, even when Finn isn't."
I sighed, even though I still wasn't convinced.
"Talk to you later, J." He said before going out of the tent, leaving just me and my thoughts.
