How many tries?
Julia's POV

"Stop! I'm going too fast!" I yelled as the skateboard raced down the street

"Stop! I'm going too fast!" I yelled as the skateboard raced down the street.

"Haha! You're fine!" Finn yelled from a few yards behind.

I was spending the day with Jack, Lilia, and Finn.

Jack and Finn were trying to teach me how to skateboard, keyword, trying.

Lilia was filming videos and taking pictures of us.

"LILIA, HELP ME!" I screamed.

Her and the others were laughing their heads off. I put a foot down and slowly stopped myself.

"You did good for your first time!" Jack said, running over to me.

"Thanks?" I said out of breath.

"Finn went to get ice cream with Lilia." He informed me.

"What? Why, it's like 30 fucking degrees?!" I complained.

"Whatever," he laughed.

"Thanks for helping me skate, but I'm probably not going to learn anytime soon." I joked.

"Julia, you love Finn right?" He asked, now looking directly in my eyes.

"Um, I don't know, we're just teenagers." I shrugged.

"I don't wanna make things awkward, but I just need to tell you how I feel." He said, gently grabbing my waist and pulling me closer to him.

"Wh-what do you mean?" I asked, even though I knew exactly what he meant. When I stayed at his house that one week, he showed me care and kindness that I haven't seen since, well, Finn. It was almost scary how I was just so comfortable with him, like we had known each other for years.

"Julia, I really like you, like more than a best friend. I've liked you since the first day I met you, I've liked you since that day I held your hand, thinking you were asleep, I've liked you since the day you moved to Canada." He said in one breath.

"Hey! We're back!" Lilia said from the sidewalk, a few houses away.

I realized Jack was still holding me in his arms, so I scooted away.

"Chocolate for you, vanilla for you, strawberry for you, and mint for me!" Finn said as he handed us each a cone.

Jack still had a twinkle in his eyes, his gaze didn't release from mine. Lilia and Finn were having their own conversation. Jack just lightly smiled and walked to his hotel.

The four of us were in a movie called Whenever. It was being filmed in Vancouver, so Lilia and Jack had been staying here the past few weeks.

"I'm ready to go." I interrupted Finn.

"O-ok, um, lets go home." He waved to Lilia and we got in his car. He didn't even notice that Jack had left, nor the fact that he had been practically inches from my face.
