I'm sick.
Todoroki sighed as he sat down at the coffee table, just as he had done so many times before. The familiar smell of coffee beans, the fake italian paintings that hung over the cream coloured walls. The chocolate brown coffee tables and the green leather seats embroiled in golden studs. That coffee shop was the only 'normal' place Todoroki could ever feel at home. You see, Todoroki wasn't any normal 15 year old. He was a psychopathic serial killer, a villain known all over japan and even overseas. Not something any outsider looking in would guess. His undoubtedly handsome visuals had all his victims wrapped around his pretty little finger. He even had himself a small hybristophilic fandom; mostly composed of young women who fell for his looks, his mysterious and deceiving personality and his agile abilities. He was the perfect villain, always managing to never leave a trace. If he hadn't been a villain, he could have been the lead singer in some ikemen boy idol group.
But no matter how cool and composed he looked on the outside, inside his head was a very different story. An abused, lonely child left with no ability to feel love. The only person to ever have loved him had been his mother. Once the only light in his world, the only one to have ever cared for him, the only one who told him that he could be anyone that he wanted to be. A beautiful faint memory that ended in flames.
"Your left side is so unsightly..."
Todoroki shook his head as he tried not the let those horrid memories further penetrate his already far-gone mind. He had already endured enough pain.
He was dressed in all black - black skinny jeans and a black hoodie draped over his head. He also wore a black face mask that covered all but his eyes. Of course this was necessary - if someone recognised him it was all over for him. There had been too many sins committed and there was no going back at this point. The cafe was relatively silent despite it being Saturday. Todoroki pushed the green button to call over the waitress.
"One coffee, no sugar please." he ordered. The waitress smiled and bobbed her head before quickly scribbling down the order and making her way to deliver it. She soon returned, coffee in hand. She placed it down carefully and then looked Todoroki into the eyes.
"Sir, you've been coming here for a while now! Why do you never show your face?" she asked in a kind tone.
"you wouldn't want to know." Todoroki replied, plain and simply.
"Well okay! Enjoy your coffee, sir." She said, and made her way to the next table.
She looks like my next victim.. Todoroki thought to himself, smirking under his hoodie.
Suddenly, her heard the familiar bell ring indicating someone had entered the coffee shop. He glanced up briefly to see who had entered. A green haired, scruffy looking young man entered, wearing a t-shirt that literally said 't-shirt'.
Who the fuck would wear that.. Todoroki thought to himself. He watched as the green haired boy waited in the increasingly-growing line. He was just an average boy but.. something about him captivated Todoroki, and he just couldn't stop staring. Suddenly realising what he was doing, Todoroki looked away and continued his coffee. The warm sensation of the liquid making its way down his throat was so comforting. He also slipped out his phone from his pocket to distract himself. Whenever he started feeling himself going a little crazy, he started playing video games on his phone. His phone buzzed but so did his mind. What is it about him?..
After a while, Todoroki stared into the empty coffee cup. His cue that it was time to leave. Without even looking up, he left some scrunched up money on the table; and began to walk towards the door.
"Sir! Your change!" the waitress from before shouted after him. He began to walk faster towards the exit. Then, without warning, Todoroki felt himself bump into someone. He was slightly shorter than him, but he immediately looked up and Todoroki looked down.
"Oh, I'm so sorry sir!" He smiled cheerfully. His smile seemed to light up the whole room. Todoroki's eyes widened and his heart stopped as soon as he did so. The boy's emerald eyes gleamed, and stared right into Todoroki's soul. Time seemed to stop for some time, and something clicked between them. All the background noise seemed to grow silent and all Todoroki could focus on was this beautiful man that stood before him. Suddenly snapping out of it, the sounds of the world came creeping back.
"Sir?Sir!" The waitress from before was tugging at my jumper from behind.
"Are you alright?" She asked, handing back his change.
"Yea.. sorry. Just lost in my thoughts." Todoroki mumbled. he turned around and glanced back up at the green haired boy. He still smiled but looked slightly concerned.
"I'm sorry, did I do something?" he asked Todoroki, puzzled.
Todoroki felt a wave of emotions before he managed to muster up a reply.
"No... I'm sorry." he said in his usual monotone voice, and then brushing past the boy, calmly made his way out of the coffee shop.
As soon as Todoroki left the door he gasped and struggled as he tried to gather his composure. Not in a long time had someone been able to make him feel that way. But why?? All the boy had done was smile. But Todoroki felt that his whole world had shifted. His twisted mind was being eaten alive. From then on he knew, that boy was going to become his life.
