I listened back in as Mr Gavin started spewing some things about werewolf culture. The basics that any young cub is taught. I zoned out again, returning to my thoughts. I began doodling on the corner of my page. Hopefully, this wouldn't be a long class...

I jumped as I heard the bell ring. Students shoved their books into their bags or clutched them for dear life as they sprinted down the hallway. I slowly slipped the paper inside my book, hauling myself to my feet. As I turned around to leave, I heard someone clear their throat. "Hey, (Y/n)?" I turned around to see Daniel staring at me, with his two friends standing behind him. "I'd like you guys to meet my new pal." Daniel stood to the side, allowing his friends to see me better. "(Y/n), this is Dottie-" A girl with long, dark purple hair, and even darker ears and tail, waved at me. Her eyes were a light blue, sparkling. "And Rylan." The other boy nodded at me.

"Hey!" He had darkish brown hair and pale pink eyes. "Nice to meet you guys." I bowed my head slightly. "As I was trying to say before class, I was wondering if you wanted to be our friend?" My eyes widened as I searched Daniels face for any sign that would indicate he was joking. "Really? I'd love to! If you guys don't mind!" Dottie and Rylan shook their heads. "Nah, it'd be great! You could be the little sister I've never had!" Dottie began rocking on the balls of her feet, clearly excited. Rylan nodded. "Then it's settled! We'll come to find you tomorrow (Y/n)!" Daniel smiled. I smiled back. "Can you kids get out of here! Go home! I've got another window to deal with..." We shot apologetic smiles as the four of us ducked out of the room, leaving Mr Gavin standing alone, staring at the shattered glass.

And that was the start of a wonderful friendship.

I eventually caught up with KC, who introduced me to her friends. I liked them, well most of them. Her friend Aphmau was human and was in my werewolf class, which was confusing. She was nice though! Katelyn was really cool and was in the same year as Daniel, Rylan, and Dottie. I got hit on a few times by Travis. And he got hit back. With a punch. I didn't really like fighting, but I could hold my ground. And with an older brother, you had to learn to throw punches. Teony was really nice and always offered to help me study. Lucinda always slightly creeped me out, always talking about magic and stuff. She was very pretty though.

As for clubs, I joined the Writing Club, Werewolf Club, and Anime Club.

As the year went on, it became interesting to watch Aphmau and the Alpha, Aaron, bat against each other. It seemed neither really liked each other, yet it seemed that Aaron had picked Aphmau as the Alpha female. Somewhere during all this, it seemed Aphmau had this massive... dating and blackmail complex. I wasn't really sure, but I heard about it from the others.

There was this one time where Aphmau and I found ourselves chatting together during lunch, and she started rambling on about this game she played with an online friend. It was an MMORPG, a fantasy one with dungeons and stuff. I input my interest in it, and she said that she was starting a new character with her friend, and offered to teach me how the game worked. I never told her, but I bought the game nearly that same day. I, however, didn't want to intrude on her friendship. So I played alone for a bit. I eventually brought up the game in conversation with Dottie, Rylan, and Daniel, and Daniel seemed to be bursting at the seams to say something... but we got distracted by a ball.

However soon after that, I met with three people online. They were trying at a dungeon but didn't have enough firepower. I, of course, being the warrior I was, decided to help them. We had two fighters, a healer, and a magicks user. From there, all of us kept in touch and even started a guild together. We played every weekend, and weekday when possible. It was FC, Shu, BorkeD and me, (O/n). FC and Shu were a little more serious about the game, while me and BorkeD cracked jokes and laughed. We balanced each other out. Until Shu joined us and we all tormented FC.

Even when we weren't online, we gave each other our emails and had a big group chat we talked in.

Group Chat: First Fantasy XI

FC: How are you guys! Feels like long time no talk 8D

Shu: NOT THE FAaaaAAAaaceeee!

(O/n): I'm good. Except for the fact it's a Monday morning.

BorkeD: Yeah. I'll have to leave for school soon. You guys got any interesting classes?

Shu: I'm in a class that I really shouldn't be. Can't seem to be moved though: I

FC: That's weird. I've got a pretty average day.

BorkeD: Same here

(O/n): Yep. Dungeons tonight??

Shu: Of course!

FC: Yeah.

BorkeD: Ye. Sounds good!

I turned my phone off, squinting at the alarm clock beside me. Irene, staring at the phone so early was NOT good for the eyes. I stumbled out of bed, finding my school clothes strewn about the room. I packed my bag, brushing my teeth and fixing my hair. My ears were just not cooperating with me today. They were fluffed up, refusing anything I tried to do. I gave up, sauntering down to breakfast, yawning and sleepy-eyed. "Morning sweetheart!" My mom called from the kitchen. I could hear the sizzle and pop, and the familiar scent of bacon. I'd know that smell anywhere. I plopped myself on one of the chairs in the dining room, yawning and stretching my arms. There was a loud thunking noise, and my older brother, (b/n), emerged into the room. He sprinted over, ruffling my hair as he planted a kiss on my forehead. "Bye nerd!" He called, as I huffed in annoyance as I began combing down my hair. "Bye dork!" I called back after him. He gave a quick goodbye to our mom, before swinging the front door open and leaving.

My brother, who was a smartass, had gotten enrolled in O'kahsis prep. He was two years older than me, but we were close.

"We should be getting going soon hun, don't want to be late." I nodded in acknowledgment as I began scoffing the food down.
