It was one fine morning. The sun was shining brightly in the sky, and the lively chriping of small birds and insects filled the atmosphere. The weather was warm and promising. It was a perfect morning in every way.
But not really.
It was a horrible morning for the boy who lay on his bed, wallowing in grumpiness and annoyance. Pulling out a pillow from under his head, Yoongi glared at his alarm clock. Putting all of his pent up rage and hatred towards the alarm into the action, he hurled the pillow at the shrill device with as much power he could muster. The timepiece was the only thing which truly got on his nerves, with it's tedious and unwanted ringing.
Following his little tantrum, a large assortment of items were thrown at the hated device consecutively. A few moments later, Yoongi realised that the only things left within his reach (to hurl at the object) were himself and the mattress, which he briefly contemplated on doing. Yoongi rolled over on his now stripped bed to face Jin's side of the shared room.
The elder male would not be amused, nor would be show any mercy for what he had just finished doing. fantastic. Great. Just peachy.
Groaning with realization, the raven haired boy hoisted himself out of his bed and set about to clean up the mess he had made. About half an hour into his boring task, Yoongi's will power gave out and he settled for being lazy and simply propelling the rest of the catastrophe under his bed.
Triumphantly, the male marched over to the other side of of the bed and leaped into the inviting pile of blankets, burying his nose into the mattress immediately. His foot had hit the side of the wooden frame in the process, and Yoongi had just begun to feel the sharp pain shooting up his leg. Lifting his head up to examine his injury, yoongi caught sight of a small, glittery box which had been pushed out from under his sacred resting place.
Ignoring the pain in his foot for a moment, Yoongi leant down and brushed his hands along the top of the container. Soon, glitter and sequins spilled out of it and scattered across his ones clean and tidy carpet. But he didn't care. In fact, he could care less about such a trivial matter.
That is, until Jin decided to make an entrance.
Seokjin observed the junk lurking under the younger one's bed, took a brief look at the carpet before launching into a brutal tirade of lectures and nagging. But none of this reached Yoongi's ears properly, as he was still gazing at the pink and blue box, while trying hard to stay in his current headspace.
Or he was, until Jin in his angry state, snatched the cardboard item from him before throwing it into their shared bin furiously. He screeched one last time about the state of the carpet and cleaning up his mess, before exiting the room and stomping downstairs. Jin had slammed the door with so much force when he left, yet it didn't effect Yoongi much since he was completely and utterly consumed by his own thoughts.
After a while, Yoongi finally broke out of his trance and rushed to the bin to retrieve his squashed box, which now had a largely diminished amount of glitter. It was only then that he realised how much the cardboard box actually meant to him.
Gently, Yoongi pried the lid open, which showered a generous amount of twinkling dust at the already sparkly carpet. A lump soon formed in his throat when he saw the contents of the box.
