Betrayal

Monday came as fast as you could say 'I hate life'. Natalia got up early, her back was still aching. She sat for a while day dreaming, she was going to have to face Jacob today.

She got up and made her way to her bathroom.

She looked at herself in the mirror. Her eyes were bloodshot and there were bags around them. She used to look better, she might as well call herself beautiful, but she wasn't in the mood for compliments that came into late. She undressed herself. She got into the tub and let the hot water slowly work it's magic around her body. She was relaxed for once. She sat in the tub for around half an hour.

When she was done, she got up, pulled out the bath plug and let the water drift downwards. She got dressed, brushed her pearly white teeth, combed her ebony locks and ran downstairs for breakfast. She wanted to go early because she wanted to meet Angie and cry her eyes out at her.

'Good morning, sweetie', Natalia's mom greeted as he pecked Natalia's forehead with her feather light kisses, no wonder dad always finds a reason to be with mom.

'Morning mom', replied Natalia cheerfully, she wanted to act happy for the sake of her mom's feelings.

They ate their breakfast in silence. When they finished their breakfast, they got of the house, got into the car.

Athena drove Natalia to school smoothly, when they arrived, Natalia got out and bid her mom goodbye. She walked into her school compound sulkily, but when she got in, she saw something that really got her temper blown away. She felt tears welling up in her already swollen eyes.

Jacob was leaning against his locker. Yvonne was leaning against him, he was whispering something into her ear, she giggled. Natalia was on the verge of becoming a murderer. She stormed up to where Jacob was and gave him a slap that he would never forget.

Jacob seemed surprised at first, but got over it and his emotions changed into pure anger.

'What was that for?!'

'For not showing up last night and for touching her!!!!', screamed Natalia. By now the whole hall was looking at them.

'Oh Natalia, you really thought that you could hide everything from me?! Yvonne told me about how you were the one who bullied her and she also told me that you've been spreading rumours about my family! She told me that the only reason you wanted to date me was to get popularity, well guess what Nightingale, we are over. I'm done with your lies and I never thought that I could be so stupid to fall for someone like you!', he screeched

Natalia could feel her knees wobbling, how could he even believe a word that came out of Yvonne's mouth.

'Well Jacob, if that's what you want then fine. We're over, but just so you know, whatever you heard from Yvonne was nothing but lies. I didn't spread any rumours about your family nor was I the one who bullied her and I never dated you for popularity, I fell in love with you for you. Goodbye Jacob' With that Natalia ran off towards the ceremony hall, she was not ever going to smile again.

Natalia ran as fast as she could to the ceremony hall, she couldn't take what she had just heard. She was mortified by the fact that she was going to go back to being unloved. She sat in the corner of the hall just like how she did on her first day, the day she met Angelina.

She just sat there crying, not caring if she was going to end up in detention for missing classes. She hated herself for falling in love. Why was she so stupid, why? To think that her life would become better, huh. Every time, every single bloody time. It just had to be her who got hurt. She just hated Yvonne and what she has done to her. What in Merlin's name did she do to Yvonne. Natalia cried and cried and cried and cried, until there were no more tears to be shed.
