Oh my God! I can't believe he did that, almost every girl in school jealous. Except for Angel, she already has her eyes on a guy named Tony Griffin. He's cute and all but not as cute as the guy we met at detention. His name is Jacob Tyler. He and his gang are the biggest trouble-makers in school. They get into trouble almost every day and they act as if it was just a daily routine. Well, they must be very thick-skinned. He's the only child and his parents don't really give much attention to him. Maybe that's why he's like this, it makes a lot of sense. Boy was I getting really bothered. Every day I would have to ignore all those death glares from girls I don't even know. They really do seem fierce, but if anybody asked I'll say I'm nowhere near interested in him. Although that was not really the truth, I still wanted to go to school and come back home alive.

'Wow, Natalie! I cant believe what just happened. Now almost every girl in school gives you death glares'

'Wow, now that really makes me feel a lot better', I say in an annoyed and sarcastic tone.

'Well, at least they're not carrying pitchforks yet'

We were walking down the corridor when suddenly, Jacob Taylor and those friends of his just showed up. I was frightened at first but then I let that emotion slip. Because he really looked cute with that smirk of his.

'Well speak of the devil and he will appear', said Angel

'I see you girls are talking about us, may I know what exactly you two were talking about'

'I was just saying how annoying and arrogant you are', I said but I really didn't mean it

He had a fake hurt expression on his face. 'Oh, so now were playing hard to get huh? Well fine than, we'll play along too. Wont we boys', he said while gesturing his friends to say something. How original.

'Oh definitely, I could use some entertainment'

'Sure, why not', said another one of his sidekicks.

I couldn't help notice that Jacob's hair was styled neatly today, other than his occasional messy hairstyle. Did he do all that for me.

I couldn't take it any longer I just had to run, he was giving me a very attractive smile and I was overwhelmed. I felt dizzy and I felt happiness but inside that happiness was a fear I couldn't explain. Was it Jacob?

The last thing I remembered was Angel trying to hold me up and Jacob having a shocked look on his face and running towards me. My eyelids drooped and..... I don't know what happened next.

I felt bliss and happiness but I couldn't explain where it came from. I could hear mom's voice and another voice, an unfamiliar voice. Mom told me to open my eyes, I didn't feel like waking up but I knew I couldn't sleep forever (not now to be exact).

I slowly started to open my eyes, colours came. My vision came back, I was in my room. Mom was smiling at me, she gently wiped my forehead with her hanky. Then I could see a man, with a big moustache and a pleasant smile. He had a nametag, it read 'Dr. Turner'.

'Well, I see that you've finally woken up Miss. Nightingale. Now, how's about a little tea, that would be most joyous', Dr Turner said

'Why not Dr Turner, Natalia I'll bring the tea to your room. Meanwhile, why don't you thank your friend for his immediate action', mom said while looking at the door.

I turned to see who she was looking at, it was...... Jacob. Wait, hold, rewind and freeze. Jacob Taylor as in Jacob Mega High School Flirt-Material Taylor!

He gave me one of his heart-stopping half-smiles. I swear the only thing on my mind was how handsome he is, okay, hold on Natalia Nightingale, he's just a guy and almost every guy in school is handsome. What's so special about him? I was mentally trying to convince myself that he was just some other guy. I hadn't noticed that I was staring at his face, I wasn't even blinking.

Then mom broke the awkward silence.

'Natalia! You okay honey?'

I just dumbly nodded my head while still looking at him. He is GORGEOUS!

'Well Natalia, I'm sure you're wondering what happened so I'll just leave you and this charming you man alone to talk about it', my mom said with a cheerful smile. She did not know how much I was dying to get some time alone with him, but yet I'm nervous. He would always be with his stupid friends and I never really got to know him well.

My mom just stood up and walked to where Jacob was standing.

'Please stay with us for dinner, dear. Natalia's father will be back anytime now and he would love to meet you', and with that she walked out and locked the door. Leaving me with Jacob. I'M SO DEAD!!!!!

Jacob turned around and looked at me, he flashed me another one of his famous smirks. He came closer and sat on my bed. My heart was practically beating a thousand beats per minute.

'So princess, want to know what happened?', he said.

I gave him a look that made it obvious that I wanted to know.

'Well I saved you when you fainted. The doctor said that this is because you were shocked of sudden passion you never felt before. I saved you and you nearly broke your head', he said proudly. 'Oh, thank you', was all I could mutter. I felt like an idiot.

Jacob was unbelievingly a gentleman. We talked about so many things. This was the first time I ever got so close with a boy before, let alone a handsome one. We talked about our childhood and many other stuff. Jacob knew about my life, he says he liked me ever since I was 7 when we first met. I blushed at that.

'Natalia, there's something I've been meaning to tell you', Jacob said somewhat blushing

'Oh, okay, shoot', I said

'Well, Natalia, I've known about your bullying problems and I know that I wasn't the person that always comforted you but I want to be that person now. I want there for you, I want to be more than friends and I wish for you to know that I will stay by your side from now 'til the end. I know it sounds like I'm asking you to marry me but it's that. It's just that I have always wanted to be with you and I...... I would like to take you out on a date this Saturday night'.

My whole world had an earthquake. HE asked ME out on a DATE. Wow, groovy huh? Wait what! Jacob Taylor is asking me out, he wants to be with me. He wants to be more than friends. Out of all the girls in the world, he chose me. He wants me.

'Oh, umm....... okay. I...... I.......', I was stuttering and I could see him smile. I couldn't take it anymore I just went for the kill. I hugged him, tightly. He was shocked at first but then he returned it with a warm embrace. I never felt like this before. I never thought I would find someone (other than Angie) who really understands me and likes me for who I am. Not the way I look or the where I come from. I'm not afraid anymore, I'm brave now. Well, what else could you call it? I just hugged a boy I spilled my life troubles to. I could get used to this.

'Hey, umm... Natalia, I think you should let me go before your dad comes up and kicks me out of the house for hugging his precious little baby', he said while putting on a mocking googly eye expression.

'Oh stop it you! My father would love you, just not the way I do', I whispered the last part. Jacob didn't hear it.

Just then, my mom called from downstairs saying that dinner was ready. I was excited that my mom really liked Jacob, but yet I was scared about what my dad would say. He never really liked surprises. I mean, don't blame him, wouldn't you think it's weird to find an unknown young man in your house. My dad was always social, but at the same time he is known for his company of friends with great backgrounds and high status.
