Natalia quickly got dressed in her favourite outfits and ran down stairs, she looked at a mirror, making sure that she didn't look horrible. She took her house keys and unlocked the door. She gave one last glance at her home and started running to the park. The park wasn't very near, but it wasn't very far either. As soon as she started her journey, it started raining. Natalia grimaced at her luck.

She ran as fast as she could, but the rain just seemed to get heavier every second. Soon, the streets were flooded with rain water, Natalia could've sworn that she was going to be carried away by the water, but she stood her ground.

In what seemed like forever, she reached the park. Her eyes scanned the area for her soul mate, but he was nowhere to be found. She ran around the park trying to spot him but he wasn't there. Was she too late. No she wasn't, Jacob was suppose to be here. Did he leave because of the rain? He would've called her. Where was he.

She didn't know what to do, so she just waited in the rain for hours, or what it seemed like.

After an hour or more, she decided that he wasn't going to show up. The rain was still heavy, but she didn't care. She moaned as her back ached. She walked back slowly to her home. But then something caught her eyes, she saw a tall figure with the same jet black hair and the same skin tone as her love.

Was it Jacob? No, she taught that guy was way too old to be Jacob. She walked back home tired and disappointed.

She finally reached her house, she unlocked the door to only find something that she had feared for when she left her. Her eyes widened in terror as two adults looked at her in disappointment.

'Where have you been, Natalia?', her father asked stiffly

'I....I...', she couldn't mutter anything else, she was terrified

Her father knew exactly where she had gone and he wasn't happy about it.

'I didn't expect this from you Natalia. I thought that you would listen, I was wrong', he said sadly

She could feel tears running down her cheeks.

'I am very disappointed, very, very disappointed', he said shaking his head

'You're grounded Natalia', he said as he walked off towards his studying room.

'Dad..', she managed to choke out, her voice cracking with sadness.

'Natalia..', her mom whispered

Athena just turned to leave as she couldn't bear to look at her daughters face.

Natalia quickly ran up to her room, crying her eyes out as she jumped on her bed.

She just sat there crying, she felt her feet aching because of the rain. The water had flooded her shoes and they were numb. She felt unbearable pain as she turned to her right side and slumped slightly on her pillow.

After a few minutes of painful sobbing. She heard her room door open. She turned to see her dad standing there with a sad look on his face. He closed the door, walking towards her bed. He sat on it, not looking into her eyes.

'Am I being a bad father?', he asked her still not looking into her eyes

'No', Natalia replied flabbergasted

'Then why are you doing this? Have I not give you enough of love? Why do you seek the love of a boy you hardly even know over the trust of your father? Is it wrong for me to be protective of my little girl?'

Natalia couldn't take it anymore, she started crying hysterically. Her father embraced her in warm hug. He wasn't going to give away his baby for a boy who didn't deserve her.

'Dad *sniff* he didn't show up', Natalia managed to choke out

'Shush.... it's okay you don't need him', he said as he rubbed her aching spine

Natalia slowly fell into a dreamless slumber in her dad's arms. She was going to try her best to believe in what he says, that she doesn't need Jacob, but she was going insane by the thought.

That night the only thing that comforted her was the silence, she was going to wake up to a very stressful morning and she was sure of it, but she was strong wasn't she? She would take it, she would be the girl who wanted nothing but love and friendship. She was going to go back to being that girl who never knew what affection meant. Why was it always her?
