I looked in the mirror one more time taking in my appearance before following Oliver downstairs.

"David these are my sons Brayden, Alexander, and Oliver. And one of my daughters Jaymes my other ,Catherine, in school. Tampa to be exact." My dad introduced to David and his family, before he introduced us to his wife, son, and daughter. They all seemed nice enough. We sat down at the table as my mom placed dinner in front of us. God don't let this dinner be awkward. It started off with small talk until it became a steady conversation between the adults with us commenting once in a while. Everything was going great.
"Why don't you and Calum get to know each other better. You are going to be going to college together starting tomorrow." My mom said  handing me a dish she rinsed to put into the dishwasher. We were cleaning up the kitchen while the others talked in the living room.
"Mom...."
"Just be nice. I'm not saying to do anything else."
"Fine. He doesn't seem that bad."
"Yeah maybe you'll end up with a mans in the end."
"Shut-up Alex."

"Isn't Jaymes a boy name?" Calum asked walking next to me by the gazebo.

"Well....what kinda name is Calum?"

"Touche."he smirked. Arrogant bitch aren't we? Cute arrogant bitch. Oh God I hate myself when I do that.

"Before me and my brother were born the doctors thought we were going to be two boys. So my parents chose the names Oliver and Jaymes. So when I came out a girl everyone was shocked, but my parents chose to keep the name."

"I like it, its different."

"So do I." I laughed "So you start college tomorrow. Excited."

"As I can be. It's been a year sine I've been in school. I don't want to go back, but my dad thinks I need an actual degree." He sighed.

"I get that. My Dad is making all of us go to college no matter what we want to do in the long run."
"What would you want to do?"
"I would like to do what my dad does with producing and writing music. But my mom doesn't support that. She wants us far away from both of their jobs. So I'm majoring in forensic psych and law." He looked at me taking in what I said.
"Well I say screw it. Do what you want and what you feel you would succeed best at. You're should love what you have to do. Your parents may not want you to go into their field of work in the public eye but I say screw it. Do what you love." He shrugged.
For someone who just met me he really gets it. I think this will be the beginning of a beautiful friendship.
