Chapter 18: If I Fall Will You Catch Me?

EunSoo looked down at her hands as she laid down on her bed. Jungkook had forced her to return to Jin, but she just couldn't get herself to tell him the truth. She have fallen for Jin long ago when she had first met him and she hoped that he would have loved her back in the future if she tried hard enough.

"He would never want someone like me who is already carrying a child of a man she doesn't remember... I'm probably a slut in his eyes" she mumbled to herself as tears began to flow down from the corners of her eyes.

The sound of someone knocking on the door caused EunSoo to quickly wipe the tears away from her eyes. She didn't want him to know she was crying. In her eyes, she was already someone who had become pathetic.

Jin walked in and sat down besides her on her bed. "What's wrong? I heard you went to the hospital with Jungkook. Is anything wrong? Is there anything I can do to help?" Jin asked as he took her hands in his. Not wanting to hurt her him anymore, she yanked her hands free from his and stood up.

"Jin... You asked me back in Santa Monica if I wanted to be your girlfriend, right? I... I'm sorry, but I can't... I'm already in love with another man and I'm carrying his child... I'm sorry to have ever led you on...I'll move in with... with Hayeon..." EunSoo stated as she turned away from him.

Without warning, Jin grabbed her. "What do you mean? You're pregnant?! You haven't dated anyone, why are you lying to me?" He asked and EunSoo bit her bottom lip as she heard the sadness in his voice.

Jin's grip on her arm tightened as he felt anger boil up inside of him. He knew she was lying, but didn't know why. He had asked Yoongi and Jungkook to always watch her so he was sure she was not dating anyone.

Was it Namjoon? He thought to himself. He remembered her telling him that Namjoon had kidnapped her and to this day he had not returned to his side.

"You can't leave" he growled and for the first time in her life EunSoo became frightened of him. Regardless of what she had done in the past, he had never raised his voice to her. He would scold her, but not in a harsh tone. He was always kind to her, which is why she had fallen in love with him.

EunSoo tried to break away from his grasp, but it was like iron. She had never noticed it before, but Jin was actually someone who had worked out and was much stronger than herself.

"J-Jin y-your hurting me" she stammered as her arm felt as if it was being squished. Noticing what he was doing, Jin quickly let go.

"I'm sorry..." he whispered as he sat back down on her bed.

"No... I'm sorry for leading you on when I loved another man... It'll be difficult for the both of us if we are living together like this... For now, let me live with Hayeon..." EunSoo asked as she tried to fight back the tears that were threatening to leak out at any moment.

Jin let out a deep sigh. "Fine, but promise me you won't just suddenly leave" he mumbled as EunSoo nodded her head and ran out the door.

If Jin was paying more attention he would have noticed that EunSoo had not taken anything with her... He would have noticed that she was acting odder than usual... Above all he would have noticed that she was leaving at the dead of night when Hayeon and Jimin should have been asleep...

If he wasn't drowning himself in self hate, he would have stopped her from running away that night. He would have stopped her from acting irrationally from all the pent up stress... He would have been there for her as she stood up on the small ledge overlooking the town below. He would have been able to stop her as she stood there, inches away from falling to her death as she gazed up at the sky in sadness...
