Emari's POV
Everything was beautiful. I found myself frolicking through a large open field kinda similar to the one Ethan and I went to all the time when we were teens. I looked down towards my large belly smiling and rubbing it.I wondered around a bit taking in the scenery before me. Looking at the beautiful fall trees and the sand colored grass that stood tall. The wind was blowing calmly causing the grass to sway taking a wave effect.
I was brought out of my trance when I spotted a dark figure off in the distance. I couldn't make out the face as it was to far but I had an idea. I walked quickly towards the figure being able to make their body out more.
I stopped in my track when I noticed exactly who it was and my vision became blurry as tears threatened to fall.
Ethan.
He had his back towards me looking up at the largest tree in the large open area. With his hand resting in his pockets. My heart was beating violently through my chest as I hesitantly walked towards him.
My feet shuffled their way through the rough grass causing it to crunch beneath my feet. Ethan turned around looking somewhat startled.
"Emari?" He asked raising his eyebrow slightly. I was to choked up to respond. Instead I ran into his arms hugging his torso tightly as I cried into his chest.
He hugged back instantly resting his hand on my head and rubbing my back in a calming manor. "I miss you so fucking much Ethan." I sobbed louder.
He took a deep breath as if he was holding back from a break down. "I miss you too Em." I gripped his shirt tightly trying to hold him closer to me.
We stayed like this for a few minutes as I pulled away laughing lightly being so happy I'm getting a chance to see him, even if it's not real.
He brought his thumbs to my face wiping the tears away gently and kissed my forehead. "How are you E?" I asked him hoping he was ok. "Honestly I'm great, I get lonely sometimes but I met a few people and they're great company." He told me honestly.
"What about you?" He gestured to my belly smiling widely. I giggled at his reaction seeing him happy. "Honestly it's been great, besides Gray not being by my side." I said looking down at the ground.
Ethan's smile vanished and he furrowed his eyebrows together showing he was somewhat upset with his brothers actions. "I know I told him he needed to start treating you better and improving his ways to be a better father figure to his kids." Ethan said with sorrow in his voice.
"You seen Grayson?" I asked taken back by his remark. "Yeah, I did. Last time was when he got into that motorcycle accident." He said looking to the ground playing with his thumbs.
I wondered why Grayson never said anything to anyone about seeing Ethan. Maybe he wanted to keep it to himself.
"I want to show you something." Ethan said barely above a whisper as he reached his hand out for me to grab. I smiled wide and took his hand. We walked through the trees for a little while until we came upon a cliff that showed the most beautiful view.
Ethan sat on the edge making his feet dangle off the edge. He looked my way and patted the empty spot next to him indicating for me to sit down.
I slowly sat down linking my arm with his laying my head on his shoulder. "This is so beautiful E." I said taking in the golden colored sky. "It sure is." He said laying his head against mine.
