It had been a week since Austin and I went out. As always I was super busy but I was surprised Austin hadn't been texting me a lot. I was wondering what I had done wrong that night but I told myself he was just busy. He finally asked me if he could come over for a bit on a rainy Sunday. I started cooking right away knowing he'd wanna eat, not changing out of my oversized sweatshirt or fixing my messy hair. Austin knocked. "Come in" I yelled. He walked in, his blonde hair slightly wet from the rain but hidden under a beanie. "This place is huge Oak" he said. "Too big for just me" I said. "Yeah for real" he said, "what are you making?" "Just some steak and potatoes" I said. "Damn you really are my dream girl" he said. I laughed but inside I was sighing with relief. I kept cooking and I tried to teach him a little bit. It was so cute watching him try. "I'm trusting you with these brownies" I said as he poured in ingredients. "Come On Oak, I for sure got it" he said. I put my finger in the batter and licked it. "Could use some more cocoa" I said grabbing the powder. I started mixing the batter and Austin came behind me, wrapping his arms around my waist and kissing my neck. I smiled. I guess everything was good after all.

After my amazing dinner we tried Austin's brownies. I took the first bite. "Not bad" I said nodding my head. "What did I tell you" he asked. "I could do better" I said. "Doubt that" he said. I kissed him. "So what's been going on lately" I asked taking another bite of the brownie. "Yeah well we need to talk" he said. Oh shit. "What's wrong" I asked. He put himself on top of the counter, next to me. "It sucks Oak" he said. "What does"I asked. "Well my manager knows we've been hanging out and stuff" he said. "Yeah" I said urging him to continue. "Straight up, he wants to set me up with this model chick" he said. My heart dropped. But I couldn't show it. "Oh ok" I said. "You're ok with that" he asked, surprised. "If that's what you want it's chill" I answered. "No that's not what I want at all. I want you" he said. I looked at him, I could see how genuine he was being. "Well" I said. I got off the counter and started doing the dishes. "I'm being forced into this Oak, just for the public view" he said. "Yeah I understand" I said, "but I don't want to be a problem." "You wouldn't be" he said. "You realize if we got caught it would ruin you" I said. He looked down. "But I want this" he said. "It can't happen"I said.

After talking for a bit longer we came to the conclusion that it would be best if we stopped hanging out. I acted like it was fine but it sucked. Austin left really close to tears. After he left I immediately grabbed my guitar and started playing around while watching the rain fall. This is just how it works everything that feels right turns out to not work. I was heartbroken. But it wasn't Austin's fault. My phone buzzed.

-You're amazing. I am so sorry. I'll talk to my manager. Don't give up on me yet.-

A/N: Oh dang! This chapter was fire but also kinda sad. We'll see what happens with Austin. Pic at the top is the two lovers cooking together. How cute
