8: It Happens

The rest of the week I was super busy but Austin came over anytime one of our schedules opened up. And although we hadn't spent a ton of time together recently, he was coming to Con and Natalie's wedding with me. It was Sunday so I had the day off and he had some free time so we decided to grab lunch and then go on a hike. Austin picked me up and we went to eat at Cafe Rio. He got noticed a couple times. Dating someone in a band is interesting because their bandmates are like their family and they always wanna be together. It's weird for people to just see Austin and not the rest of the band. After lunch we drove up to a peak of the mountain and started hiking. "How long is this hike babe" he asked. "30 minutes up tops" I said. "It's pretty, kinda reminds me of North Carolina" he said. "Do you miss it there" I asked. "A lot, I miss the scenery and my family so much" he replied. Awww cute. "Where did you grow up" he asked. "I was born in LA but I mostly lived in Utah" I replied, "my parents got divorced right after I was born. My dad stayed in LA and my mom moved to Utah. I moved with her but I came here every summer." "Does your dad still live around here" he asked. My heart sank. "He actually passed away 5 years ago" I said. Austin stopped. "I'm so sorry" he said and gave me a side hug, "what happened?" "He had always had problems with his heart, one day it kinda just stopped working" I said. "Damn, I can't even imagine that" he said grabbing my hand. "It still makes me sad. After he died I started getting into film and photography because that's what I remember most of him. He always wanted to pursue filming so we would make little sitcoms or documentaries. But he was never able to do that. Everything I do is in honor of him" I said. We kept talking and walking. He told me more about his family, his parents, two brothers, and his cat. I told him about mine and how I lost contact with my mom after I moved to LA and she didn't support me. I was so lost in conversation with him that I hadn't noticed we reached the top. 

It was beautiful. There was a huge waterfall rushing down into a stream and tons of jet black rocks surrounded it. But the best thing was being here with him. I turned to him and kissed his cheek. He smiled and we met lips. "You know what we should do" he said. "What" I asked. "Go skinny dipping right now" he said. "Hell yeah." 

I slipped off my clothes and jumped into the water. "Holy shit that's cold" I laughed. "You're already in" Austin said and turned around. His eyes widened and a smirk crossed his face. "Get in" I said. He hopped in. We started kissing and well one thing led to another.
