Chapter 10

It was the day of our last paper before our break. The class was silent except for the sound of turning sheets and the clock ticking steadily. I nervously tapped my foot against the floor as I wrote the last few answers.

While re-checking my paper the sound of the bell brought me relief. As the teacher got up to collect our papers, I scribbled my name and exhaled as I gave my answer sheet to the teacher.

It was finally over.

"We can finally party girll.", Vanessa said hugging me as I got out of the class.

"Party ?? We can finally sleep in peace you mean.",I sighed.

"Let's go for a moviee.", Ashton said running towards us from across the hallway.

"No let's eat food from out.", I said whining. I was sick from eating my brother's meals, as my mom rarely got to cook with her busy schedule.

"Yess, after school ?", Vanessa said jumping.

"See y'all in an hour then.", I said waving at them and heading towards class.

We had a free period and most of the students were standing in the hallway so half of the class was empty. Catherine and Amy were heading towards the Art room, so I entered the class alone. Looking around I noticed Zachary, Brandon, Liam and another boy Hayden at the back of the class talking.

"How was the biology paper ?", I asked as I reached them.

"It was actually good, better than algebra.", said Brandon.

"Nah, algebra was better for me.", Liam said. Since school began I had talked to Liam a couple of times because of Zach and Brandon. He was also dating Miyah since the past 5 months. He's a nice guy, with a good sense of humour, quick wit and the best comebacks ever. Both him and Hayden were also in the football team.

"How about you ?", Zach questioned.

"It was good, I'm just scared about my french marks.", I said stretching and sitting on a chair besides them.

"Well let's not talk about the results. Party tomorrow at my place, be there by seven.", Liam smirked.

"Finally.", Zach said.

"Parties are boring.", I stated.

"Parties are stress relieving.", Zach shot back.

"Those are Karen's parties. Mine aren't boring Nicole.", Liam said rolling his eyes.

"I agree.", Said Brandon.

"Yess, because of the music and–", Zach said.

"And the chicks.", I continued.

"No the people and–", He said trying not to smile.

"And the booze y'all sneak.", I said rolling my eyes.

"In the end it's fun.", Zach chuckled.

"Whatever, I'm just coming for the food.", I said leaning back as Liam gave me a look to which I stuck out my tongue childishly.

We continued talking for a while longer when Ryan and Ashton entered the class.

"Hey guys, hii Nicky.", Ryan said patting my head.

"Boys, tomorrow my place seven okay ?", Liam said.

"Can't wait for it.", Ash said with a grin.

"Oh are you calling people from Wellington High as well ?", Hayden asked.

"Yes, around twenty people from there with half of their football team.", Liam said.

"Ain't y'all rivals ?", I asked air quoting the word rivals.
