"Nicole.."
"Hmm..." I replied half asleep.
"Wake up!!"
Hugging the pillow tighter I muttered, "I don't wanna..."
"But you have too."
"No." I harshly whispered and nuzzled into my hard pillow.
"Your holding me too tight, I want to get up" It said shaking me.
Holding you too tight ?
I opened my eyes and as it adjusted to the faint morning light, Ryan's shadowed face was staring right at me. Shocked, I immediately removed my arm off him and pushed myself behind.
"Nicole wai-" he said trying to reach out for me. Unfortunately I was at the edge of the bed and fell backwards, fumbling to grasp onto the covers.
I groaned, as my back stung from the impact.
"Fuck !! Are you alright ?!" he asked worriedly, getting off the bed and helping me up.
"Ahh.. I'm totally fine" I winced while sitting back on the bed. Amy was still sound asleep on the other side.
"I'm so sorry, I shouldn't have woken you up so suddenly."
"No, it's kinda my fault. I almost squeezed you to death." I said stretching myself and yawning.
"You didn't, and even if you wanted to, you can't" He said with a chuckle.
"You don't know.. I'm capable of many things."
"Yes, like falling off a bed."
"Haha, how funny" I replied sarcastically.
"I know, I am."
"Sure", I said rolling my eyes and reaching for my phone. It was around 6:30 am. "Why did you wake up so early though?"
"Morning jog" Ryan said in an obvious tone as he began rummaging through his closest.
"Gosh..." muttering I climbed back under the duvet. Throwing his clothes on the bed, he went into the bathroom.
Tossing around, I couldn't go back to sleep. I was still awake when Ryan came back out.
"Aren't you sleeping ?"
"You ruined my sleep."
"Would you like to come jogging with me then ?" He said slipping his t-shirt on.
"No."
"It'll be fun."
"I don't think so."
"Come on", He said pulling the covers off me.
"Make me." I said with a straight face, tugging it from him.
"I'll make you pancakes."
Those four words were all I needed. I sprang off the bed without hesitation and ran into the bathroom to get ready.
When I went down, Ryan passed me a granola bar and said "We'll jog till the park opposite Main Street."
"Too far."
"I'll add extra whipped cream."
"Okie." I replied, daydreaming about those mouth watering pancakes I would be devouring in a while. We jogged all the way to the park and took a couple rounds in it, and then stopped by a store to buy few ingredients.
When we reached back, both of us were sweating and tired. My body ached and I felt light headed, so I took a bath in warm water to ease my sore leg muscle.
